This is kind of a funny story of how I stumbled onto ColdPlay. I hope no one gets mad at me, or takes offense. When Parachutes came out, I heard YELLOW, and hated it. I didn't know who the song was by. I kept hearing it on the radio, and had wished they would stop playing it. Anyhow, time went on, and when A Rush Of Blood To The Head came out, I heard IN MY PLACE on the radio, and couldn't beleive what I was hearing! I cried the first time I heard it. I was absolutely shocked at how good it was, but I didn't realize that it was the same band that played the song YELLOW. As the song was ending, I prayed that they would say who it was, but of course, they didn't. I was on a mission to figure out who that band was. I listened to the same radio station everyday, all day long for months. I never heard the song again. I asked everyone I knew if they knew who the song was by. Of course, it was kind of hard to describe what song I was talking about. About six months later, after trying to figure out who it was, I had given up. I was pissed! So then shortly after that, I was at home flipping through the channels on TV, and what do you know, I heard "the song". I thought to myself,"HOLY SHIT!! THAT'S THAT SONG!" I flipped back a few channels, and to great surprise, the IN MY PLACE video was on. I immediately went out, and bought the CD. The next day I played IN MY PLACE for my boss. He said, "oh, that's that band that plays that song YELLOW". Then it hit me! It was the same band. I felt like a complete idiot at that point for being so judgemental from only hearing one song. Needless to say, ColdPlay is now my favorite band. Oh, and I even like the song YELLOW now! LOL!! :D
