Hi guys, It was me who made the comment on the coldplay forum about the album next year. I thought the mods response to my post was a bit rude due to being quickly dismissive, so I’ll post about it here and not there. I assure you, what I heard was not rubbish. could Chris have meant it as a joke? I don’t know. but I doubt it as he didn’t laugh after it and neither did the other guy. And it was not a concrete “yeah the album’s definitely out next year”. He said it could be or might be. I’ll ask my girlfriend and my friend who were with me last night for what he exactly said. (Bear in mind I had had a few drinks. In fact, so had everyone, esp. Chris ;) so yeah I’ll post back when I’ve asked them. but I don’t see why its difficult to believe though. If it was next year then it would obviously be late next year. So we’ve still got all this year and then most of next year, which gives them close to two years. it could be delayed for a few months like with X&Y, so it would be early 2008. Which actually seems incredibly likely. Which is why I’m sure he was being serious. I’m guessing they’re just worn out at the moment with such a busy schedule and so much media attention and such little time to their families. But I’m sure after some time off they’ll be desperate to get back to recording. Anyway, hope everyone’s going to watch the show this evening. I didn’t have that good a view for Coldplay’s performance so I’ll def. be watching tonight to make sure I can fully appreciate it. Take care, Ash.
