  1. I think my story is pretty unique, not saying it's good just unique. Well anyways, I was watching this movie called 'Confidence' starring Edward Burns (who did a sweet job on Entourage by the way) and "a song" played at the end during the rolling credits and I instantly really liked the song but I didn't know who sang it. Well lucky for me I was watching tv the next day and lo and behold this English rock band called Coldplay was playing an awards show (not sure if it was the Brits or MTV Europe awards) and there was that song again being played magnificently. The name of the song is 'Clocks' and that day began my love of Coldplay.
  2. I'm sure most of the people on this board have heard the Coldplay song and maybe interpreted it for what Chris Martin had to say, which is a good message by the way. However, I've recently thought deeply about what the title means to me and specifically, how do 'I' see the world. Not many people have had the opportunity, as I have, to live in two different countries on our planet and therefore get two different world views, i.e. perspectives of the world around us. I think the answer to the question can say much about who we are and who we think we are. The answer, however, can change from day to day depending on what we learn or figure out for ourselves as it has for me over the years. So, to get to the point, I'd like to know what people here on this board think of the world. To get is started, here are just some of my thoughts: The world is definitely in trouble and many of its problems are caused by circumstance and being unfortunate, but, too many people are affected adversely by the decisions and actions of a few wealthy elite that because they don't see it or don't care, have a completely warped view of the world. It seems to me that no one in any position of power acts in the interest of humanity but rather in those of political and/or financial gain. I believe this does not lead the future of the Earth down a bright path, to say the least. P.S. If anyone was wondering, I lived in Jamaica for 14 years until 2001 when I moved to Canada and please share your thoughts.

  4. I've read that article and the subsequent postings and I'm impressed with the authors ability to incite anger in the Coldplay community. I would pay more attention to the title of the article, noting that it reads '10 things I don't like ABOUT Coldplay [the band]' and not '10 reasons I don't like Coldplay's music'.
  5. There is a part in 'Bigger Stronger' that kicks in at around 3:30 into the song that I think is just amazing; and if you rock along to that spectacular bass riff like I do you'll know exactly what I'm talking about.
