  1. For the record, Santogold isn't r&b. That type of music never even influenced her. She had a good set, it's just that he style of music isnt meant for an arena.
  2. Yeah maybe him sick did have something to do with it. I dont really care that he went to muchmusic anyway, because personally i think that show sucks **my rant of the day**. I did notice at times when he went off key at the beginning of the concert it kind of looked like he was having trouble singing. Plus it looked like he was drinking tea so who knows. For the first three songs or so he didnt look himself at all.
  3. I'll admit tonights show was better then last nights (I went to both, way better crowd tonight) but I really feel like we all got screwed because there wasn't even a single encore. I thought after the roadies came on it was just to lead us all on, but looks like I was wrong unless they decided to come back on and play an encore for the security and cleaners. but i'll just assume they were tight on time considering they have to break down the set and travel to the next city. Obviously I dont know them personally but I doubt Coldplay would screw the fans over on purpose.
  4. haha. i've never even been to chicago.
  5. I'm not gonna bother to go now. I figured with Chriis at the studio there might be an acoustic set. But i'm not going to waste my time to go and see just an interview.
  6. It's on the Edge's website (http://www.edge.ca). they said it wont affect tonights concert though. I guess that means he wont be at much music either.

  8. I dont see the big deal. i've been to tons of concerts alone. When I get there i'm only focusing on the concert anyway. I fi went with someone else the only time i'd talk to them is going to the show and waiting for the concert to actually start.
  9. Just letting you guys know that Chris isnt going to be showing up at Edge studios today because he's sick. Guy Berryman is going to replace him. It's not going to affect tonights show but I hope he can still put on a good performance.
  10. i think the interview is at 6.
  11. Yup. I actually got a friend to enter it for me because I was at work. Came home around 5 and checked my e-mail. I just wonder how many people really knew about it, because they didn't mention it that much on the radio during the day.,
  12. The only people that can get in are people who entered the contest and got an e-mail. You had to log into the inside edge between 10am and 3pm wednesday to enter. I doubt they are going to have the studios as open as they did last time. Most likely it's just going to be closed door. Only way you get in is if you show them the e-mail you received with photo id.
  13. Not sure how many people in toronto know this, but there was a contest earlier today (Wednesday) for anyone who wants to check out Chris Martin and Jonny Buckland being interviewed by Bookie (not sure if there is going to be an acoustic set). I was wondering how many people have entered and won? Luckily I entered so I get a chance to finally see Chris and Jonny up close, maybe i'll be lucky enough to get a picture, too. Is there anyone else going?

  15. Ah didn't know that. I live in Canada so I dont get bbc radio. My mistake!
  16. I was looking up some news, and I came across this: http://breakingnews.iol.ie/entertainment/story.asp?j=258452480&p=z58453y86 If they have to postpone it again this is going to blow big time.

  18. You should just keep checking anyway. Sometimes ticketmaster releases more blocks of tickets so it isnt necessarily sold out. Last time Coldplay came to toronto I went online 1am the night before their second show, and I found a ticket in section 117, row 1, which was right beside the stage.
  19. You can try e-mailing ticketmaster, and tell them you accidentally paid for toronto tix when you wanted montreal tix. I did this for a broadway show I'm going to see in july. I didnt want to go so I made up a story saying I bought tickets for the wrong event, and they gave me a full refund (surprise surprise). But if not, you can definately sell them anyway. Someone will buy them off you as long as you dont mark up the price too much
  20. I never said they cant, just saying what i think might be the reasons for it, that's all. And i'm sure they wont be missing you this tour anyway
  21. Considering the amount of time it must take to come up with effects/lighting.graphics/etc, most likely it's going to be the same setlist every night with a few tweaks here and there (like when they perform at festivals). I really wish they could pull a Radiohead and change up their setlist every show. Radiohead rehearsed over 75 songs for their current tour, and they play about 25 songs per night. Considering the amount of albums and b-sides coldplay has i would think they would be able to do the same. But at the same time their management and label probably have a say too, which means that they will most likely do the album in full, and throw in a cover or two and some of their past hits. You also have to consider that with a lot of these arena venues (I know the ACC in Toronto for sure) There is also a curfew that has to be met which is usually around 11 pm. So there's a good chance they will have to do their usual 14-15 songs. And for anyone complaining about the lack of songs/ set length, there's a simple solution for you. DON'T GO. You always have the option of saving your money and letting someone who truly wants to attend the show get that ticket instead. I dont see the use of being so picky. They perform to hundreds of thousands, maybe even millions of people each tour, do you really think they are out there to just please only you?
  22. haha. 1st or 2nd row? You have a better chance actually meeting the band while walking down the street.
  23. there are still single floors for toronto
  24. What are you bitching about? Maybe pairs are gone. Best Buy is doing fans a favor by giving them access to tickets early (they only get a specificed block, they dont have access to every single seat) yet people complain. If you dont liek it then just wait for saturday. I hate people that are so picky...
  25. For toronto there are still tickets. I dont know why people are giving up so easily. 15 minutes later and I got centre floor, row 26
