  1. So I finally get around to sorting through the box of MiniDisc bootlegs that has been overflowing for some time. And along with many other things, I found a recording which I thought had long been dumped. Namely the 2 song recording of the Coldplay show at Irving Plaza. I did a cursory check and don't see a copy of it floating around anywhere so I thought I'd offer it up. Be warned, the recording quality is terrible. And I mean terrible. It was recorded using a Sharp MD and a cheap mini Sony microphone. The first part is muffled, the levels are too high for the entire thing and in places you can hear people chattering. But if anybody wants it I'm uploading it to You Sent It as a lossless Flac. Not that lossless matters in such a bad recording, but hey, it's habit. http://s37.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=2D9DALOOCHSRM3UQH455E5NF1W On a related note, I also have a recording from the Toronto show at the Warehouse June 5, 2001. I did see that somebody has a recording of that but I'm not sure if it's a copy of my original. If anybody has it, could you tell me if the drums are really high in the mix? I remember they had put Will at the front of stage left (audience perspective right) instead of at the back on the riser. And I remember being unforunate enough to be standing right in front of the kit. The recording reflects that. If the bootleg currently available is the same one then great. If not, I'll torrent the show. Before anybody asks or emails, please understand, I'm not a Coldplay fan anymore. I have my reasons and one of them is quite simply that my taste have changed and this type of music just doesn't get me going anymore. But I know how it feels to really want a recording of a show and if these recordings can make somebody happy then I want them to be accessible. Once I know that the recordings I have are out there and available to people who really want them I can throw the originals back into the box and never think about them again. The YSI file will last for 25 downloads or 7 days, after that it's up to whoever downloaded it to share it with others. I won't be uploading it again, I'm deleting the files to make room for other stuff. I'll torrent the Toronto show ONLY if it's not already available, otherwise people can get it off bootleg collectors/traders. I'm not interested in trading, I record almost all the shows I go to and have long since lost interest in recording of shows I didn't attend. Thanks.
