I became a Coldplay fan about 2 years ago... And then got really into them when Speed of Sound came out (I played SoS beforee X and Y came out so much that I am actually sick of it now and would skip it on X&Y after listening to it once all the way through).... I was at the Meadows and Mohegan sun..And Mohegan blew the Meadows concert away...The energy was so much better... But I will be scared for my life when I go to Dave Matthews Band at the Meadows this year...2 years in a row with riots (maybe even longer)...so hopefully I don't die on July 28th!

Right before the acoustic set, this girl in the front row got on her cell phone and was doing business calls I guess or talking to a friend about Coldplay. Chris sees her and goes " i can't fucking believe this...There's someone on their phone right here..." And then he's like "We've never done this before, but you're gonna come up on stage and make your phone calls while we do the next part of our show..." She is helped over the divider and she's STILL on the phone. She gets on the stage and has like a bean bag thing to sit one and they give her a beer. So she sits through Till Kingdom Come, RIng of Fire and Trouble. the concert was amazing... They didnt change the lyrics to Politik but God Put a Smile Upon your Face and it was like "give me a jack, a queen, a king, maybe an Ace" or something along those lines (It's a casino). He told the audience this would be a good concert... And it was... The atmosphere was great, A LOT better than the summer concert. I think because during the summer concert there were a lot of under 15 people and people who just knew speed of sound. There were true fans there tonight which made it more enjoyable than it would have been. Chris told us that he heard this was a tough crowd (Maybe because of the summer concert, maybe because Ashcroft got sucha bad response)...But those rumors were wrong and we were great. I totally agree and this was by far one of the best concerts I've been to (My second Coldplay, but I've been to other concerts).
