The four songs we have heard indicate what I posted earlier. "Not Everyone is Going to Like This...." Chris is honest and straightfoward. This sounds like "B" sides that were unpublished. Is there potential for more that has not been heard? Yes. With his personal life it would been hard to imagine that the, "greatest of all time" masterpiece was being recorded. This is one, if not the favorite group that I have. I have seen them four times and would not hesitate to go again. I think that they "could" be the Band that can knock U2 off of the Perch at the Top. If they had to go here before going there, then I am all for it. This is not the direction that will take them there. Do what you do best. Add some more true, hard rock, passion and circle the wagons as I know you have it in you. I know the Masterpiece is on it's way. :)
  2. I must be a "blind guy" because I do not see them coming here to LA. Maybe not shown as of yet? Good lord I will see them in Las Vegas no doubt as it was the best show and venue last time around. We caught then in LA for three shows last Tour. Come on people. We are begging you for a couple of shows, The Forum and the O.C. :shocked2: :D
  3. I don't mean to sound like the "bummer" here but I am not sure I like the sound of the "spin" on this album. We should be reading something like, "The BEST ever" and this is a "Monster album with multiple hits" or something like that. How about, "Our most prolific work ever?" "Not everyone's going to like it" is not impressive to me. I am all for change and expansion in Music and the Groups have to play what they like and enjoy doing. Every great Band continues to change and move into different phases however it feels funny to me. I hope that I am wrong as I have seen them four times and consider them one of the best live bands ever. Chris has a great deal of talent. I won't worry about it but some how this takes me back a notch. :shocked2:
  4. The Album was supposed to be harder Rock and somewhat darker!?! Less ballads and slow stuff right???? This Band has an opportunity to be the "Best of The Best" on a World Class level. They are now a household name in the US and should have shot at U2 and the "Top O' The Heap." In my opinion, anything less would be a disappointment. Collabaration is kool but if I wanted to listen to RAP it wouldn't be Coldplay. I look forward to the new Album, have followed Coldplay since "Yellow" and seen them live four times on the US Tour. Great "Live" band and Chris is very talented indeed.

Got an invite to the site. Last we had the opportunity to Coldplay four times. An old Rocker that has seen some of the great ones. I took my son to the first show and he was hooked. :stunned: Went to the Irvine Wireless shows on two consecutive nights. The first night the Orange County crowd was slow to warm up but came to life with "Yellow." We had Orchestra seating via the VIP the second night and Mr. Martin figured out how to get the crowd going early on. He promised if they particpated that their "Monday would be a little bit better." Chris blew us away the second night. Thanks Coldplay. Then to the MGM Gardens, Las Vegas and that show rocked! The LV crowd knows how to show appreciation and the boys responded in a like manner. The floor was bouncing and that late in the tour with heavy radio play the audience was singing along with every song. I put it right up there with Jimi Hendrix and Led Zeppelin as the top three concerts ever. Finally, in our backyard at the Anaheim Pond. Another outstanding show. I understand that they will be taking a little time off but wait patiently as Chris had stated that X & Y would be their last "Soft Rock" album. It is hard to imagine that this group could get better than they already are. It is great to be here and be part of the fun.
