I'm sure the concerts are fantastic, but playing the same set two or three nights in a row in the same city is pretty weak. The 16 songs they're doing right now are solid, and should be played every night...but why not have 2-3 extra songs that are rotated and thrown in spontaneously from night to night. It seems they've really just settled into a groove/rhythm that they aren't willing to get out of.
"Flawless performance" is coming out on top vs. "imaginative performance"
In Vancouver, we had a 19 song setlist (How You See the World, Parachutes, X & Y, Trouble and Hardest Part all appeared).
But hey, they're still only 3 albums into it and I guess hearing 16 incredible songs (well, 15 actually, Ring of Fire doesn't count), without any filler, still beats almost any other concert out there.
