what time do they usually take to the stage?
So it sounds like the consensus is that if I can't get down there until 9 or a few minutes before, I should be in the clear then. Thanks for this information, definitely relieves me of any preshow anxiety.

04-Aug-08: Boston - Tickets, Preview, Meetups, Review/Photos [originally 03-Nov]
Any idea what time Coldplay will be coming onstage? I'm supposed to be working later than usual tonight and am hopeful that I'll make it there before Coldplay comes on (and maybe some of the opening act if I'm lucky).

What time do they usually go onstage? (tonight???) Hey, I hate to be one of those people asking what time the main band comes onstage, but I'm supposed to be working late and not sure that I'd be able to make it to the TD Banknorth Garden by the 7:30 start time on the ticket. I'm sure there must be an opening act or so, but I'm curious what time Coldplay has been going on. I've been trying not to read reviews or forums because I want to be completely surprised by the show, so my apologies if this has been covered in five million other spots. Hopefully I'll be able to get there at least before Coldplay comes on, if not during the opening act. Thanks in advance for any insight you guys can provide!

Coldplay at Madison Square Garden--simply unbelievable
1. Politik 2. God Put A Smile Upon Your Face 3. A Rush Of Blood To The Head 4. Daylight 5. Trouble (with a tease of Cher's "Believe") 6. One I Love 7. Don't Panic 8. Moses 9. Everything's Not Lost 10. The World Turns Upside Down 11. Yellow 12. The Scientist 13. In My Place (acoustic, see note below) (first encore) 14. Clocks 15. In My Place 16. Amsterdam (second encore) 17. Lips Like Sugar (Echo & The Bunnymen cover) 18. Life Is For Living "In My Place" was played twice; the first time around it was an acoustic performance that Chris played some guitar on. They had been contacted by a New York charity called the Robin Hood Fund to donate something that could be auctioned for charity; they donated the chance to come onstage and sing a song with them. A young woman named Christy paid $350,000 for the chance to sing "In My Place" on which she shared lead vocals with Chris. Though she wasn't exactly what you'd call a great singer, Chris and the audience carried her through, and I thought it was pretty cool that they Coldplay were willing to do this for charity.
