No, it's definitely 'Spies'... I'm looking at it right now - "Track 17, Coldplay - Spies". As far as i am aware it is their first release on Parlophone in any shape or form. p.s. I should know... i'm the bloke who picked them to support us (out of three other bands who had submitted demos to my manager at the time, Cerne Canning - who after us discovered The Libs and Franz Ferdinand) and so you could say that you have me to thank because if we'd played a blinder instead of getting pissed before the gig and, subsequently, blowing it you might never have heard of Coldplay. Got to say i like Chris though... a thoroughly lovely chap. I just wish he wouldn't be so quick to jump on righteous political bandwagons - it leaves him sorely lacking in the 'enigma' department. Will be interested to hear the results of their work with Eno. Oh, and btw, Chris - if you read this - you broke my bloomin' 1972 Marshall JMP50 putting the keys through it that night so if you fancy getting me another that would be lovely lol. Been nice to watch your rise - i told you that you were good didn't i? ;-)

If anyone is interested in buying just message me and make an offer. It's Coldplay's first release on Parlophone and is one of their very rarest releases. The catalogue no is CDWK103 and contains 18 tracks in total (17 of which are rubbish lol). I would be willing to post anywhere in the world as long as postage+insurance is covered. Oh, and i will accept Paypal only. Any takers..? p.s. Would be willing to send scans/pics of the CD. p.p.s.If you want to know where i got it, well, Coldplay supported my band, Electrascope, at the Borderline, Soho in Feb '99 and subsequently walked away with my impending deal/album release with Parlophone. The rest, as they say, is history lol.
