I don't think being objective about the show means someone doesn't like Coldplay.

Yeah, I have to admit that most of the new songs don't translate live, or at least not at the scale that a four piece band can re-produce live. Don't get me wrong, some of the songs came off great live -- like Lovers In Japan and Lost, for example. But the ones that bombed dragged down the show. Which, actually, was probably my main complaint of an overall amazing show: the set list. It started off fine, but the momentum of the show dropped off completely with 42 and then Yes. The Scientist, while one of my favorite songs, wasn't the best way to get that momentum back, and then it was time for the side stage songs (which were great for me, as my fiance and I were right there in front of them, but, again, didn't build a lot of momentum). It was also strange that they had that techno fill after the set and before the first encore, and then came back and started that encore with "Fix You." It was a great perfomance of a great song, but there was a moment in the beginning that was just weird, because they'd gone from the techno music to a heart felt ballad. It would have seemed more natural had they come out rockin'. Again, it was a great show, it really was. It was just a bit inconsistent.
