^^^ I'm SO jealous that you are going on the road to see Coldplay at ALL of those shows!! You must be rich or something to be able to afford ALL of those tix + transportation and lodging! How do you do it?! Any advice?! That's one of my goals in life.. to follow Coldplay while they're on tour and just see them all over the place!! :D

I would say to just stay with the seats you have. They aren't that bad and there's always next time to get the closer seats. In my opinion, if you try to get GA tix you will end up paying like at least double what they cost on the sale date because there aren't any left on LiveNation and you'd probably have to get them off of like ticketwarehouse or stubhub, and they are ALWAYS overpriced. So you'd be spending a WHOLE lot more money. Your seats really aren't that bad. The seats are angled so that you'll still have a good view.. as long as there's not a ginormously tall person in front of you! Plus the guys like to take a run around the arena anyway, so they'll get close to you.

So--I saw this on facebook and one of my friends filled it out using a different musician, so I figured I'd try it with Coldplay. I don't like posting things on Facebook cuz I think it gets obnoxious so I just did it on my own and now I figured hey, I'll share it with everyone on coldplaying, so here it is haha. Let me know if you think any other songs would fit or what you would put. Using only song names from ONE ARTIST, cleverly answer these questions. Pass it on to people you like. Try not to repeat a song title, it's harder than you think. Choose an artist: Coldplay! Are you male or female: X&Y [although I'm a female, it works to answer the question lol] Describe yourself: Easy to Please How do you feel about yourself: We Never Change How do you feel about your love life: Reign of Love or Life In Technicolor Describe where you currently live: The World Turned Upside Down or How You See The World If you could go anywhere, where would you go: Amsterdam Your favorite form of transportation: Parachutes Your best friend is: Proof or Til Kingdom Come or Postcards From Far Away Your favorite color is: Yellow What's the weather like: Rainy Day What's you're favorite time of day: Daylight If life was a TV show, what would it be called: In My Place What is life to you: Glass of Water What is the best advice you have to give: Everything's Not Lost If you could change your name, what would it be: Strawberry Swing [i don't think this worked haha] Thought for the day: God Put A Smile Upon Your Face How I would like to die: Death Will Never Conquer My soul's present condition: Don't Panic The faults I can bear: Things I Don't Understand My motto: Politik or Viva La Vida

I like when they play random songs from the older cds. That's another reason why I liked the July show better than the November show, cuz they played Green Eyes which is one of my absolute favorites, and it was totally unexpected and amazing. So can't wait once again, I hope there's a surprise and it's not ALL predicted and online! I love surprises!! :o)

Do you guys think the members of Coldplay ever go on this site and check out what's going on? I mean it IS their BIGGEST fan site.. wouldn't they be interested in what's going on with us and what we're saying?? That'd be pretty cool.. imagine them reading it right now.. HEY GUYS!! :-P <3

I tried waiting around at the Wachovia Center in November.. the security guards get pissed and yell at you to leave. I did actually manage to get a minute-by-minute schedule from backstage with the EXACT times they would be leaving the venue and when they go on their bus and arrive at the other places, do sound checks, play first part and then encore etc. At that part of the tour the schedule said that they boarded their buses around 1am. Good luck though.. as much as I want to stay around and meet them, I'll have to wait till next time because I've got to get back to Delaware for a final at 10:30 the next morning!! [crazy, I know hahah].

6! Can't wait! :-D So just looking at all your signatures and wondering, how come you all haven't seen Coldplay before 2008?! You missed out on some good shows!! PS: So funny random story-- My friend saw my facebook status about Coldplay and we were talking about it in my Hebrew class today at college, and my teacher [picture: crazy little Israeli lady] was all like "Which band are you guys talking about?" and I answered her "The best band in the world." and she said "Which one?" my friend answered "Coldplay" and I said "The most amazing band ever." and then she said "Oh, are they like a rock band? What do they sing? What are some songs?" and my friend said "Clocks, Viva La Vida.." [probably the two most easily recognized Coldplay songs by people who don't even like Coldplay too!] And she was like "OH is that the one that goes da da da daaaaa dada, da da dah dada DA da daaaa" [Viva La Vida tune] and we were all sitting there laughing it was great and we were like "YEAH THAT'S IT!" hahah. It made my day lol.

So I just updated myself on what you all have been saying for the past few pages. I agree, July was definitely better than November. Aside from the whole Phillies thing, summer is more relaxing and enjoying because there isn't school and it's just fun. Plus like you guys said it had been a long pause since we'd seen Coldplay perform, so that made it better. Well, aside from those of us who saw them in NY in June of course haha. But yeah.. I can't wait for the concert. I love watching and listening and singing with them. And all those little add-ins that Chris always makes at the concert make it even better! Can't wait to see them again. <3

I know what you mean, that's always my problem. With the prices for the tickets, people who don't absolutely LOVE Coldplay like us don't want to pay! I might have to do that next time.. I would have this time if I got a really good seat but it wasn't that great so I didn't.

^ I didn't know there were people out there who bought only 1 ticket! I almost did that cuz I always have such a hard time finding someone to go with but I ended up buying 2 tickets on the lawn cuz that way someone will be more likely to pay me and come with me haha.

If you're still wondering about the Pit and whether or not there are seats I'll tell you this-- When I saw them there back in August 2005 and it was still called the Tweeter Center, the pit had no seats. It was a gated off section in the front of the 100 section where you had I think a wristband to get in and out so they didn't have to check your tickets all the time. You just stand wherever you could, kindof almost like a mosh pit but a lot less violent since this is Coldplay afterall. But yeah, that's all it is. That's what it was when I saw The Killers there back in August 2008 as well. But you're so close though, who wants seats anyway? Like who actually sits at the concerts?! Especially COLDPLAY!!! Jumping and standing the whole time duhhh!

That's probably because the presale tickets are only a limited amount of tickets, but not necessarily the best tickets. So when they ran out of the presale pit tickets the only presale tickets left were the other seats, and there were still other good seats left for regular sale. If that made any sense. Wish I got lucky and got pit tickets this morning though!

How much did it cost on Ebay? + Which section is it in?
-
26-May-2009: Susquehanna Bank Center, Camden, NJ, USA
+ The pit.. it's just a gated off area in front of the orchestra. There are no seats, it's all standing, as far as I've seen any time I've been there. I wish I could be in there this time!!

So I ended up buying 2 tickets. I decided that since the venue is crappy and you basically don't get a very good view unless you're in the Pit or the lower 100s so I decided that this would be a "listen and sing with Coldplay" concert instead of a "watch and get good pics" concert.. I mean, I had floor seats in Philly in November anyway, so it's not like I've never been closer before. Plus, sometimes I don't get to sing with them because I am busy taking pictures or recording, so I'll be able to just generally have a good time. Hope it doesn't rain though!! It'll probably be a better view on the screens than on the stage from most of the seats anyway, so I bought 2 lawn tickets since they were a more reasonable price and I wouldn't completely mind paying $115.10 for 2 tickets if I had to, as opposed to the $260 for not even that great seats in the 100 or 200 sections. Only thing is that I will have a hard time getting there earlyish to get a good spot.. since my final ends at 5:30 and I'm coming from Delaware.. Just letting you all know haha. I can't miss Coldplay. ♥

It's down to 8 minutes... I think I'm gonna try today and see if anything good comes up. If the seats are good I may just do this.. Spending $260 on 2 tickets and not knowing who's gonna go with me.. and probably ending up paying for it all myself.. :-\ I dunno.... . I'm so indecisive! But it's COLDPLAY.
-
26-May-2009: Susquehanna Bank Center, Camden, NJ, USA
No :-\ I decided that SBC's not great venue + SBC's insane "facility fees" [for a not great venue!] + the not amazing seats that came up for presale = wait for tomorrow and go on when it starts to see what's available. I could buy two tickets and just HOPE to find someone to go with me. But then when I don't again I'm out two tickets.. I'd go by myself but that's just pathetic and sad and boring. :( Bleh why can't my friends love Coldplay as much as I do?! :( Even if they were just coming to like NY for the Today Show in the summer again, that'd be amazing. Then I wouldn't feel bad about not going. But I feel like they're coming here, and I can't not see them. :-\ Blehhhh!

Okay so I just read 14 pages of all of your comments and here's what I have to say: I am in college and I had class until 10:45 so I got on at 11 and the stuff that was coming up was Section 100 and Section 102 rows R, S, stuff like that. It all wasn't that bad for being an hour after it opened up. However, I did not purchase anything because I am in a big dilemma. See.. I would ABSOLUTELY WITHOUT A DOUBT LOVEEEE to go to the concert because I ABSOLUTELY WITHOUT A DOUBT LOVEEEE COLDPLAY!!! But.. I never have anyone to go with. My family doesn't like Coldplay, and my friends don't like them enough to spend $100+ on them, let alone even $100! Last time in November I bought 2 tix cuz I really wanted to go anyway and my boyfriend ended up going with me, even though he doesn't like Coldplay, but I paid for BOTH of the tickets, and I really can't afford to do that again. So... anyone wanna go with me? I'm planning on buying tickets right when they go on sale tomorrow since I'm in college and don't have classes on Fridays. :-D So that's the one big huge ginormous problem. The other issue is that the week of the show is my school's finals week. My mom says she doesn't think it's a good idea for me to go, but I figured out a way it would totally still work. My finals are scheduled one 5/26 3:30-5:30 and then one 5/27 10:30-12:30 and then another on the 28th. If I have my car at my school, which I would, then I could just simply drive to and from the concert without a problem. So therefore the only problem is having someone to go with. Would any of you like to go with me??? + My other problem is that I don't really like SBC. I mean, the Wachovia Center was SOOOO much better and the views were pretty much great no matter where you were sitting. SBC is too open and you don't get as good of a view from as many seats. So any advice? Any help? Anything?? I mean, I just don't wanna miss this show because I reasoned that they are gonna perform songs from Prospekt's March, which I can't wait to hear!! And then the next time they'll go on tour and visit the US won't be until they finish their next cd, which might not be for another 3 years or so!!! And that's just WAY too long! And by then they'll be performing all their new songs from that new cd and won't be playing as much PM songs and I just don't wanna miss out. Somebody help me?? Thanks -from one Coldplay Fan to another
