  1. Well, Eno is primarily famous for being the "father" of ambient music. He is a singer, composer, and music theorist, not just a producer. I just thought I would make a comparison because they both seem like respectable guys. But yeah, you do have a point that Eno has been producing many other bands and records and it's impossible for him to remember all of them. Your second point is interesting too and helps Coldplay's position a lot, in my view. I also never heard what ended up happening with that case.
  2. Hehe, actually I really love it. :)
  3. It's kind of a sad situation to me. Coldplay deserves better, but just because I think so doesn't mean it will happen. It just sucks I guess, because Coldplay is on such a high right now. Let's not forget though that Brian Eno produced this album and even thought up the lyric "I don't want a cycle of recycled revenge" on "Death and All His Friends." He knows the song from how they sound down to their technicalities -- it's his job. Satriani and Eno are alike. They both are gifted and well-respected musicians. But neither of them are extremely popular outside of their own fan base. Not only is Coldplay smart enough, but so is Eno. He's a producer for crying out loud! Would he have let this get by? I seriously, seriously doubt it.
  4. Some great photos and videos, frontandcenterrock, thanks! :) I'm in some of those! Haha.

I don't get it; I didn't really like the idea of this in the first place, but now that I've heard it, it's not much different from the original song. It just has a rap thrown in near the end of it. I voted bad. Not that it's a bad remix, but it's not anything special at all.
  6. Ohh, a rival! Hehe, I go to Florida State University. :) UF is a great school, though. I know what you mean about the post-concert depression. Looking at videos and pictures afterward even kind of makes me feel a little more sad, just because it reminds me that I was so close to them and as time passes, they get a little further away...But at the same time, it reminds me of the wonderful time I had. Thank you everyone for your congratulations. I'm really glad some of you got good videos of them on the big stage; I was singing in most of mine, and the camera is shaky and keeps getting blurry. Plus, I was far away. All I can say about getting better seats is to do it online because if you call the stadium, you'll probably be in a looong line of other people. I'm not sure though, although I got extremely lucky in my seating, I was still pretty far away from the big stage. I would like to hear what other people here think. I have no idea how some got seats on the floor!
  7. Hey guys. I just registered here so that I could make this post. Last night was the first time I've seen Coldplay in concert. I've been a fan for years but this was the first year that I promised myself I WOULD get tickets. Me and my boyfriend drove to Orlando from Tallahassee and got there around 7 pm. We headed to our seats and were surprised to find out that they "didn't exist." We were row P in section 104 but got moved up to R. I was hoping the woman would say our seats were upgraded, but after I discovered where I was, I wouldn't have traded my seat for any other one. When we went to sit down, our eyes were immediately drawn to this platform set up on the seats right in front of us. We asked the security guard what this was about and he said it was a surprise. A very nice couple next to us were saying that the long, skinny object was, unmistakably, a mic stand. I didn't want to get my hopes up so I tried to keep my excitement down, but from then on I couldn't stop thinking about it. It was hard to believe though, because how could I have gotten so lucky? This always happens to other people, not to you! But by the time this started happening: it was undeniable. Chris, Jonny, Will, and Guy were going to be right in front of me. I still couldn't fully grasp or believe it, not until they were actually right there. Soon enough, they were headed towards us!!!! That's me in the video with my boyfriend. And actually, here we are in the picture that Texasluvsjonny posted! Whenever I think about this part I get butterflies. It was truly one of the luckiest, most amazing times in my life. When does this stuff happen?! Anyways, they started on an acoustic version of The Scientist, and near the end of the song, my boyfriend is trying to get my camera so he can take a picture of us. He sticks the camera out a little too far and Chris hits my camera and knocks it down on the stage. For those of you who noticed that Chris stopped singing during The Scientist and bent over, that was my boyfriend's fault, haha! By some crazy chance, my video started to record right as it was being dropped, and I got a very short video of Chris bending over to pick it up: He handed it to me and said he was sorry. A little later on, he turned back to ask me if it was ok. You can't really tell what he's saying, but he's asking me if my camera is ok (sorry for the fumbling in the beginning): And, to top it all off, after they finished Death Will Never Conquer, Chris gave me his harmonica he had used! It is now sitting safely on my desk. I will frame it in a shadowbox frame soon. :) Here are a few more pictures and one more video: I just want to say that I feel so incredibly grateful and lucky for this. I never thought anything like this would ever happen to me. It's nice to share this with you guys and I hope you enjoyed my videos and photos (even though they weren't as great as others'). Viva Coldplay!
