Remaining at number two for the second straight week, Coldplay's Ghost Stories wasn't too far behind Smith, selling a further 46,315 copies to raise its three week tally to 289,431 - enough for it to jump 3-1 on the year-to-date rankings There are new peaks for Coldplay's A Sky Full Of Stars (14-13, 17,745 sales) --- So in short, after 3 weeks, Ghost Stories has become the biggest album in the UK in 2014.

Ghost Stories is #1 again in the world. Note that Viva La Vida & MX only spent one week on top of the worldwide chart. So this is kinda awesome :)

Is the entire Coldplay discography about Nutella? It could explain a lot. We might be onto something.

So I was just listening to Ghost Stories, waiting to take a break from work so I could go get something to eat then I heard "So my mouth waters to be fed. You're always in my mind." That's when it clicked, Ghost Stories is not about a break up, it's not about realizing how lucky you are to have the people you love around you, bla bla bla, etc... Ghost Stories is about food, it's about the delicious hazelnut spread Nutella. That's when I tweeted this brilliant epiphany and all my twitter friends agreed. As I kept listening to the record, it became obvious that this is about Nutella (or any of your favorite food). --"I think of you, I haven't slept. My mouth waters to be fed. You're always in my head" Im always thinking about Nutella. Once you have some Nutella, you will not stop thinking about it. Yes it's that delicious. --"call it magic when I'm with you" is there anything more magical than being with a spoonful of Nutella? No? Yep that's what I thought. It's magic in your mouth. --"got a tattoo that says Together Through Life. Carved in your name with my pocket knife." A relationship with Nutella is a lifetime relationship. Have you ever met anyone who used to love Nutella? No? Exactly. It's a lifetime love affair. Oh and what do you need to spread Nutella? A knife! This couldn't have been any more clear. --"All I know is that I love you so, so much that it hurts" Can you love anything other than Nutella this much? Impossible. --"call it true, call it true love" Nutella is what true love is and it's what true love tastes like. --"in the darkness before the dawn" This is when you're out of Nutella. I know, it's hard to even think about. This is what darkness is my friends. That awful moment when you're separated from your true love. --"late night watching tv" Nutella is the perfect snack for tv watching. No debate here. --"when the world means nothing to me" Feeling sad or depressed? Eat some Nutella. I promise you, you'll feel much much much better. This is scientifically proven. --"you've got to find yourself alone in this world" Yes you do...with a jar of Nutella! --"you're such a heavenly view" is there anything more heavenly than the sight of Nutella? It's the most beautiful/amazing/delicious thing in the world. --"look up to the sky, pray before the dawn" This is for when you're in the darkness and you're praying that you'll have some Nutella very soon. It's a sad moment that we all go through.

The radio support has been bad except for Alternative Rock stations. While songs like Happy by Pharrell and Dark Horse by Katy Perry had over 200 millions in airplay, Magic only had 12 millions. A Sky Full Of Stars is just starting to get played on radio. It will be released to popular radio stations next Tuesday so hopefully we'll start hearing it more and more. My local Adult station here in Cincinnati has been playing A Sky Full Of Stars. They love Coldplay, they always play their songs.

Also #1 in Czech Republic and Chile. Ghost Stories is still #1 in many countries where it went #1 last week. It will also stay #1 in the USA.

Oh goodness, what a review and I read it all with a smile on my face. I felt like I was there too. Thank you. The chaos at the beginning was hilarious and Im happy you met so many French Coldplayers. I listened to the live stream yesterday and WOW what an amazing crowd. Coldplay crowds are always amazing but non English crowds are louder and better. I've seen Coldplay with both types of crowds and the one in Montreal is still the loudest and the best crowd I've ever seen. I'm so happy for you, very happy your dream came true. You deserve it. Now how are you going to top this birthday? Maybe next time, Chris will ask you to join him on stage and he'll sing Happy Birthday for you. I can't think of anything else. PS: I love the Beyoncé part. You know I live for her (after Guy and Coldplay of course) :dazzled:

Ghost Stories went #1 in over 100 iTunes stores. But iTunes Charts are not official charts even though in many countries that's all we have.

Ghost Stories is also #1 in Canada with 49K

They only release certifications.
