Hmm, still being euphoric from the Hershey show, I am very tempted to go to another show on this tour. This maybe the perfect opportunity, we will see....

[CANCELLED] 29-May-2009: Toyota Pavilion, Scranton, PA, USA
I was to be an attendant of this show but I was fortunate enough to get tickets to the Hershey show. It would of been awesome if I could go to the Hershey show and this show. But I definatley hope someday Coldplay comes play at our fair area. The Pavillion is a very nice venue.

What is your favourite Coldplay song today?
The Hardest Part (acoustic version). Ever since I saw that performance in Hershey with Chris and Will, I can't stop listening to it on LRLRL!

Another amusing Chrisism before they played Death Will Never Conquer... "On the weekend of memorial day Where is the best place for the band to play You know what I am going to say Get your butts down to Hershey, PA Hope you are enjoying the concert so far Let me hear a “woo woo” if you are This is time for an extra thrill May I introduce our scary drummer Will." I didn't think the crowd was bad, of course there were some quiet areas but the people around me were very into it. I might of got a tad too much into it (if there is such a thing for a Coldplay concert) but it was my first concert and I was brimming with excitement. I thought the crowd was great and it was a lot better than I expected. How much was in attendance, 12,000?

Never been to a concert...To Do's?
I just experienced my first Coldplay concert yesterday, Phenomenal!!! I don't know if you want an answer from a more experience Coldplay Concert goer but I am going to give you an answer anyway!!:laugh3: The time of arrival, depends on you. If you want to see a soundcheck or something. Maybe like 3 or 4? If you want to be the first in line to get in, I would say around 5:15 or 5:30. Things to do (on the top of my head): 1)Meet Coldplay-this is a very rare experience but you never know because the opportunity might come if you are lucky! 2)Get Coldplay merchandise (at least a shirt) 3)Meet other Coldplayers (unfortunatley I didn't :() 4) Collect as many Butterfly Confetti as you can 5)Try to get a setlist 6) Have a good time That is my response but there are many more things, hopefully a more worthy and more experience Coldplayer will give you a better answer.

Pallavi, I believe I saw you, you were a couple rows back of the front row of D and your (you and your husband's seat) was located towards the center of the field. For everybody's info, I was the kid in the Polish soccer jersey:D who sat in the front of the section D. I went by myself (I had a special someone in mind :smug: to bring but unfortunatley she couldn't make it) though I had fun and luckily everybody around was energetic as I was!!!When the Butterflies were raining down, and Chris was singing and spinning around, I felt I was in a dream. I was just reaching into the sky trying to catch the butterflies. It was surreal and probably the best experience of the night! I made videos but as I watched them, I realized I was singing to all of the songs (and for the record, my voice is no where near as good as Chris's and I was yelling and singing almost screeching at some points:embarassed::P) so I won't post them lol. So I guess I will do a review: LIT: This was the first time I saw Coldplay live with my own eyes. I was overwhelmed, they came out and I was screaming my lung off. I really didn't catch on to Chris burning himself though I noticed he slipped or something (I thought it was him being his quirky self though I was mistaken). It was an epic beginning. Violet Hill: One of my more favorite Coldplay songs, it was great. Then alternative ending Chris came up was awesome and it really got the crowd going. Clocks: I had been looking forward to this song live for a long time. Particularly because of the red laser shows, just seeing it shine into the night sky was surreal. In My Place: Another phenomenal perfomance, I remember the most when the Chris/Crowd goes "YEAAAAAAAAAH", bright white lights light up and shoot up on the whole stadium. I was singing this out of mind like a drunk man and I didn't care, I was having a good time. Yellow: Chris was doing a quiet little diddy with his guitar and it was dark so I was trying to figure out what song was next, then as I recognized it as Yell....it blasted into Jonny's guitar intro. The ballons were amazing, as the Hershey people threw them into the crowd, I got giddy:D. I got to hit the ballon once and I am proud of it!!! The yellow lights were phenomenal. Glass of Water: One of Coldplay's less popular (but still great) song. Chris and Jonny were great on this. Cemeteries of London/42: What I loved about this was the big screen behind the boys on this. As Chris played on the piano, the camera of course was on him and it was in black and white (to get the eerie effect) and Chris played along great, he would make these funny faces and bulge his eyes out to seem scary. I also sang along when they sang "LALALALAIY". Fix You: I was really looking forward to this for two reasons, Jonny's pickup guitar part and Chris's jumping around. I think Chris made a lyric refence to Hershey (somebody help me out here or corret me if I am mistaking). I loved when Jonny guitar riff came Chris would get up, walk to the edge of the stage, and do that little jump/dance when Will comes in with the drums. Strawberry Song: When this song first came out in the album, I wasn't a big fan of it but now, OMG!! I love when Chris comes to the mic with the guitar strapped to his back, and sings with those hand motions, it so inspiring (for lack of a better word ). Also when the whole place claps along it was great. GPASOYF/Talk: This when they came to the ramp on stage left(b-stage). Therefore this is when the fellas where closest to me during the show. But luck has it, this is when my digital camera's spare batteries died:cry:. But it was great. I am still in debate if I would prefer the techno version of Talk or the regular version of Talk. I would prefer both (like Viva la Vida). But I have come to love the techno version of Talk. Just seeing the spotlight on them come a tad closer to me filled me with loads of energy. The Hardest Part/Postcards: I always liked the regular version of The Hardest Version but I love this version so much more!!! They have turned a pretty good rock ballad into one of the most intimate/beautiful songs I ever heard (I am so glad this version is on LRLR!). With Chris singing and on piano and Will singing along with his soothing voice, it just melted my heart (and I am a guy ). Chris also made a funny reference to Justin Timberlake saying that this what it would sound like if he did a solo career like when Justin split from N'sync. Then he did the funniest high pitched "Won't You Be My Girlfriend" impression. Then I like Postcards for two reasons, it is a nice piano piece and it is a sign of the next song to come. :) When he was done, he reached for his jacket, then I knew that... VIVA LA VIDA: Was next!!! This obviously got the crowd going the most. I love the Will is doing vocals with the "Ooahhss" in the beginning and the end. I went crazy on this (I took a video of this but all you could hear was my screeching :P:embarassed: lol). Then before the crowd would come in on the climax of the song, Chris said something of the sort, "Now let's sing so that all of Hershey can hear us...". Then when the song finished, as Chris lay on the catwalk as he always does, somebody besides me asked someone else if he was allright lol. Lost: This was fun because Chris dance around the stage a lot on this. Especially when he put on the dragon costume and walked on the catwalk closer to me, that was awesome. Acoustic: This occured on the other side of the stadium as I was so when I saw other people from my section running toward there, I went along. I got some nice pictures. I loved when they did the Monkees cover when he asked Jonny even is he was scared of playing in front of 12,000 pennsylvanians and was scared of doing of doing the most easiest Begees karaokee if he was in love, and he song so low (Oahhh) compared to Will and Guy. Then they did the World Record Breaking first mexican cellphone wave in Hershey Pa starting with the farther section, then the acoustic section, then the middle (where I was). We did that about three times. Then he asked he section if we were in love which we responded by singing "Oaohh" Politik: My favorite song from AROBTTH and it was great. I love the energy that came from Coldplay in this, and I sang along to this as loud as I could!!! Lovers in Japan: This song was the one that really hit home to me. Probably the best song for me of the night. Just because of the butterfly confetti. When Chris sang, "I'm turning my head..." Death and All of His Friends: Epic encore, epic lyrics, epic song. Another one I "sang" the lyrics to with my heart! This is when the band took their bows. Encore: When they walked off the stage, some people were shouting encore, then the whole stadium started shouting Coldplay, then the whole stadium switched over to the "Ooaahhs" from Viva la Vida. Then Chris walked out in his Grammy jacket and thanked the crowd and talked about the LRLRL and said, "I hope you like it, and if you don't o'well. It comes at the great deal of nil dollars. Some rock critics say that this is the best deal for a Coldplay album". The Scientist: Just a beautiful, flawless performance, it was just Chris by himself at first then as the appropiate time in the song came, the rest of guys came in their Grammy jackets and played. It was a very intimate moment. LITII: At this point I was like screw it, so I put my cellphone and camera away (at this point I was rotating nearly dead batteries to get at least one or two pictures from the camera before it died and I had to rotate the useless batteries again) so I could enjoy Coldplay's last song of the night. My favorite of Prospekt's March. It was a great performance. Then as they left the stage to The Escapist, the beautiful VIVA sign appeared on the backdrop of the stage and that was my final picture of the evening. I left with a copy (not signed) of LRLRL and I left what was probably the greatest night of my life!!

After Chris said that the album was nil dollars didn't he say something along the lines of, "Some rock critics would say the best value for a Coldplay album". O Chris. He said something about 12,000 Pennsylvanians or Pennsylvanians, I am trying to remember!!

Yeah, I saw Chris before In My Place move to the side of the stage. Though could it of been after Violet Hill because they had they had that long period of darkness between Violet Hill and Clocks, so...

Lol, I was the only one in my direct area singing to all the songs and jumping up and down (with the exception of a few). I think I annoyed a couple with my singing but o'well, this is a Coldplay concert, I have to sing along!!!:D

Lol, have fun tomorrow. I wish I had another Coldplay concert to look forward to soon. This was my first one and when I left, I was like "I want to go again!!". I don't want to drain all my money so I can't go one of the shows on this tour. Maybe next year. But I will see Coldplay again!!! I was seriously considering going to the Buffalo show on the first. lol. But let's save some $ first lol.

I am trying to compose all the significant quotes of the night from Chris: "If...If you understand how much we appreciate you standing in the rain, If you are willing to make as much noise tonight as we are, If you as impressed by Jonny's good look as I am, If you love me won't you let me know." I am trying to remember them all, he said something about Jonny being scared to sing in front of 12,000 Pennsylvanians and scared to sing the easiest of karaokee songs!

IT WAS PHENOMENAL!!!!!!!!! I was in the first row of Section D, 36 rows back and it was GREAT!!! I had so much fun but I am sad it is over. The only downer was that my camera kept dieing on me :( but I manage to get some nice pictures. I got some videos with my cellphone but I was so into with singing and jumping up and down that they are pretty crappy (besides hearing Chris's angelic voice, you could hear my out of tune screech to the lyrics :P) so I won't upload the videos. The next time I will go to a Coldplay concert, I am not even going to bother to take videos, it took so much effort with little result and I want to sing along!!! So for now on only pictures!! I was really into it and some peope in my area were but the majority was not. I could of got some great pictures of the B-stage acoustic set but my camera kept dying!! :\ But still it was phenomenal. Lovers in Japan, Viva la Vida, Yellow, everything was great!!!! When the butterfly confetti was rainign down, it was surreal, I kept reaching in the sky to grab one. Chris in the dragon costume during Lost was cool too. I have so many things to talk about but I need to compose myself first. I was certainly loud though!!! I was sitting down and when I automatically heard Beethoven's music, I stood up, and when the lights went off and LIT started with the fellas running on the stage with the torches....OMG!!!! Pictures coming!

Well then just put one on the side for me and let me handle the guilt. I'll take one for the team. I will be the one wearing a POLSKA shirt.

Coldplayers Twitter: So Everybody can Stay Updated during Concert
Well there are other things like buy a mortgage worth of merchandise, stalk Coldplay until you find yourself running on the runway as their jet takes off, FIGHT your way to the stage (with force if neccesary) to get a setlist, and meeting fellow coldplayers but I figured that is all implied. ;):D
