  1. Hey, here's another example of them ripping off a song. Just listen to the intro guitar hook of the original song: [ame= ] [/ame] And compare it to the guitar hook of the Coldplay song: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=htM6XURPq3Y]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=htM6XURPq3Y[/ame] Now Coldplay changes some of the notes in this one, I will admit, and they don't go up a whole step like the original. So the melody is not exactly the same, but the rhythm of the hook is identical. :\
  2. If Coldplay doesn't settle and wins in court, I'll buy you an escort girl.
  3. It's not just the progression. The two respective tempos are within two beats per minute of each other, that being around 137 bpm. The respective rhythms of the two chord progressions are exactly the same. And the melodic progression of Satriani's guitar hook in his chorus is exactly the same as Martin's vocal melodic progression. [ame= ] [/ame] [ame= ] [/ame] Of course you probably won't watch these because you have no interest in actually figuring out why Satriani sued.
  4. The chord progression of the verse of Viva la Vida is exactly the same as the chord progression of the chorus of Satriani's song except they transposed it to a different key and used the relative minor of the first chord. They are going to settle out of court with Satriani in order to avoid the embarrassment of being proved as plagiarists. What a bunch of doofuses!!
