[RESCHEDULED DATE] 27-July-2009: SPAC, Saratoga Springs, NY, USA
OMG!!! This show put the Darien Center one to shame!!! It was simply awesome ... something not to be taken lightly, as I felt that the Darien Center show was the best show I've ever seen by ANYONE!!! First of all ... I'm really sorry to all the fans who had to wait the two months to see this show, but the truth be told, it's the ONLY reason I got to see it!!! After the Darien Center show, I went home and saw the Saratoga Date and bought tickets right then and there!!! Had it not been postponed, I would have missed it all together. As for the show itself ... The band, including Chris seemed tired ... Definitely understandable!!! I want to mention that just because they seemed tired does not mean there performance was lacking in anyway. I would have to say that perhaps it was for this very reason that they seemed to put forth extra effort to entertain us all. There were definite positives and negatives when it came to this venue, but I think over all it was a great place to see the show. I think the balcony, which certainly hindered the view of the upper half of the stage area, ultimately ended up adding something ... by that I mean Chris and the band were aware of the issue and went out of their way to make the show enjoyable for EVERYONE!!! The ONLY part which was sad was that no butterflies made it out into the lawn area... I was hoping to "capture" some for a friend who's children had destroyed those she collected @ Darien Center back on June 1st. I suppose I could have fought the crowd after the show and moved up to get some, but when you are relying on someone else to drive you the 4 1/2 hours home, you tend to stay on their heels ;) In my opinion, an A+++ show! Can't wait to see another in the future!!! INSERT CRAPPY CELL PHONE PICTURE HERE:

01-Jun-2009: Darien Lakes, Buffalo, NY, USA
Wow! you pointed out quite a great number of things I hadn't even thought of ... Like "Speed Of Sound" ... you know there are just so many great songs, it seemed that they played everything "main stream" and everything I wanted to hear; I didn't even notice that song was missing ... then again ... as you say ... whose complaining???!!! Certainly Not Me!!! We were dead center, about halfway back in the lawn ... while we couldn't see anything really well, the projection screens were pretty good and of course when they came out into the audience, we could see them just fine :D We too ended up with a drunk couple and their third wheel next to us, who migrated in front of us! They obviously could give a crap about the music as they spent 90% of the concert taking photos of themselves on their mobile. My BFF is really short, so it was really pissing us off because she couldn't see and had to keep moving every so often :veryangry2: Darien lake is a great place to see a show ... even from the lawn ... I've been looking at the venue @ saratoga Springs coming up, and while we have lawn seating (because that's all we can afford, and just about all that's left) the upper portion of the view appears as if it will be blocked by a balcony. :( I can only think of a couple of shows I've been to that even come close to compare ... Barenaked Ladies and Moxy Fruvous ... but of course neither of them are HUGE Megastar Groups (and neither REALLY exists any more - sorry BNL, but you don't.) Further more, niether sent me home with a bit of the show (BUTTERFLIES!!!) and a free CD! The Show rateed a A+++ in my opinion Darien Lake PAC gets a B. Unless of course you include leaving which takes that down to a D-.

Of interest to the 'Die Hard' Coldplay Fans?!
Robbie's new CD is supposed to be out this fall ... We're having an album release party whenever it actually DOES arrive. No matter how good the album is, I guess it will always be lacking of something since he doesn't tour The States. :veryangry:

Well, it's 250 miles (By the thruway) and about 4 to 4 1/2 hours drive, though I suppose that depends on how fast you drive ... Basically it's right near Albany ... We've already got a carload going

Well, all I can say is it's Robbie ... who can ever say what, when or WHY he chooses to do anything???

For those of you who NEED to know all about the friends and family and surroundings of the Coldplay members ... I direct you to http://www.robbiewilliams.com. Go to Robbie's "Blog" section and read "An LA Moment". I found it amusing enough ... but then again, I'm quite easily amused :laugh3:

Oh good, I was hoping there wern't any legal restrictions :D Yeah, two things really struck out in my mind that night: 1) they were right IN the crowd and 2) they actually were playing at such a small venue! When you look at all the places they fill, Darien Lake is just like a drop in the pond :stunned: If I had the time and the money I think I'd follow them around the country :laugh3:

Like I said, the show just put me over the top as far as becoming a fan! I was impressed by them spending time out in the rain with the rest of us (well, we were in the lawn), but then again, a friend of mine pointed out that they ARE from England and they probably are used to it ;) I noticed your Sig Line? You were at another Darien Lake Show? WOW! Lucky You! I like the idea of having the shows you've gone to in your sig line? Is that trade marked or copyrighted, or are other people allowed to do that too? :D

It seems every signature block I have has Robbie Williams in it LOL! With Coldplay actually Touring in the U.S. it's going to be Robbie's Loss! :wink3:

This place is GREAT!!! :D I have to say that I've loved Coldplay ever since Yellow but after seeing them on June 1st, I've found yet another passion in my life!
