  1. This is my first post here, so I would like to say, "hello". Hello Last January a person who frequents my site sent me a Farscape music video set to music of a band I had never heard of, Coldplay. The video was set to the song, The Scientist, and was about the adventures of the show's main character, John Crichton. I was personally so impressed with the music that I bought Coldplay's album, A Rush of Blood to the Head. Now, I am a really, really big fan of the Australian-produced TV show Farscape. I like Farscape making music videos (there are hundreds on my site, most of which are made by other "Scapers"), and I have become quite an admirer of Coldplay's music. I made my own Farscape vid titled, Love Over This, and set to the song, Politik. I know that Politik has something to do with international trade, but the lyrics are perfect for Farscape. If you are not aware of what Farscape is, the show is about a contemporary astronaut (John Crichton) who was accidentally shot through a wormhole and ended up on the other side of the universe, known as the Uncharted Territories. Adopted by a gang of escaped alien criminals who reside on a living ship, and hunted by bad guys, Crichton has been trying to find a way home for four years. Along the way, he falls in love with one of the bad "guys", a female Peacekeeper named Aeryn Sun. Near the end of the fourth season, Crichton finally finds his way home, only to discover that he has opened a wormhole that leads from the bad guys directly to Earth. Crichton decides that the only way to save Earth from enslavement or annihilation is to return to the UT and attempt a risky maneuver to destroy the wormhole. This is the basic theme of the music video, that Crichton must choose whether to remain on Earth, continue to develop wormholes (and suffer the consequences of owning such dangerous knowledge) or live with the love of his life, Aeryn, in the Uncharted Territories. He chooses love. If you like Farscape, you will probably enjoy the vid. If you aren't familiar with Farscape, that's okay. You obviously enjoy Coldplay music, so you might get a kick out of the vid. Enjoy!
