Radiohead vs. Colplay A big Radiohead fan here! And before you dismiss me offhand, please note that I DO enjoy Coldplay, yet I wonder what makes them so special as to command a message board such as this? In my opinion (which probably matter little around here), the best current bands around these days are: 1.)Radiohead 2.)U2 3.)Coldplay... In that order! Therefore, I am asking honest questions. What makes Coldplay so wonderful? I mean they are only two albums deep, and may very well be a flash in the pan. While their music is very pleaseing, most of Coldplay's tracks sound much the same, and they are not "pushing the envelope" in any way. On the other hand, Radiohead is just as fresh and viable as the days of OK Computer. In fact, many would argue that they are even more so today! Having said that, the reason I am here is to learn something from all of you. Maybe gain a better apreciation for Coldplay...And perhaps spread the good news according to Radiohead... Can anyone help?
