  1. i agree they arent coldplay, but to suggest that coldplay have higher standards than them is silly. i think Rush of Blood is one of the best albums of the 2000's and one of my favorites of all time, and i loved VLV, but bands leave in mistakes all the time, and its not just the beatles or dylan. Radiohead have done it. Clapton. To hear you all tell it, its uncommon and strange, maybe it is for the band, but it certainly isnt in music history, distant or recent. and plus, the BBC version doesnt sound like it sounds all that much different. a little different, but not much.
  2. or deny statements made a few posts back, readily quotable and readable.
  3. arent you already high? your logic and posts and responses suggest to me someone not in touch with reality and or someone high as a kite. How am i backpeddling. I wasnt the person who said "I thought it was just me, but looking here confirms it. We do not have the final version of the album......." then when called out on it, suggested that they were merely saying "its possible". are you drunk?
  4. all artists are perfectionists. while i love coldplay the fact they are perfectionists about their art and creativity is neither new nor all that noteworthy. additionally, the examples i gave above, of mistakes on dylan's album and the beatles albums. i think its also safe to say, both the beatles and dylan were and are perfectionists. yet both included mistakes on final finished albums
  5. yeah, but if your going to suggest something i'd think you would have put a little more thought into it than pulling out a random month without any evidence at all. Someone just suggested that the interview was from last week, and they got that info from actually doing research and checking out a tweet from someone. Whether that tweet is legit or not, its something. Theories are theories until they have evidence behind them to support it. I could say the interview was perhaps from the end of August but there really is nothing to back that up with. weasel words or not, back up your theories and statements. How could you not think someone, like me, or someone else, would call you on your statements?
  6. if you arent a politician i'd suggest you change careers immediately and go into politics! anyways, yeah, its kind of silly to debate with you, or was when you were denying you said something that obviously you did. I dont really get the motivation behind denying something that anyone can read? Why not just man, or woman up and admit what you said? Silly to have to drag it on and on... Back to Coldplay, do you think they will make some statement tonight about if its the final version or not?
  7. recorded last week, isnt recorded in september. why are some people suggesting september. who's twitter was this on? zanes? bbc's?
  8. what evidence is there of this? does zane tape/record interviews and then air them a month later? were promo copies even out a month ago? Why september? why not June or July? Or live for that manner? Lets posit facts here. theorizing is cool, but it only goes so far without proof or things to back it up with. If Zane or the BBC has a history of taping segments and releasing them later on in the future, then thats fine. but if there is no history of that, then we are back at square one.
  9. no you didnt. i read your post, something you didnt do with my post. You said "No, it is not the one in the shop. It is a promtional copy of the album a.k.a. unfinished version." and "I thought it was just me, but looking here confirms it. We do not have the final version of the album......." those are quotes directly from you. Those are many things but they aren't "I believe it is possible" statements. Those are, I know better than everyone here that this is the promo version. Secondly you stated, "based on what i read for the Espanol Coldplay site", since you are so keen with grammar i would have thought you'd have caught this little gem. I always thought the proper way of typing that would be "based on what i read from/on/at the Espanol Coldplay site". So we learned two things, you DID SAY IT WAS, and second, those in glass houses...well you know the rest
  10. so if they are the same, i dont understand how BBC would be playing a record thats in promo form. these guys get advance copies of albums. they would know if it was a promo or not. or unfinished or not. why would they play, during an interview with the band, a version of the album that is not final? makes no sense. I would assume BBC gets final finished albums. what band would send out unfinished albums that differ from the real album to the press? im not questioning or doubting you m.rogo86, im just posing a question for others to answer.
  11. are we talking the same language? im here to stay, friend. secondly, where did i post i thought it was the real version? ive posted maybe 4 or 5 times on this thread. ive never once uttered that it was the real version, and even if i did, i sure as hell didnt say "this is the real version, and anyone who says differently is in denial". thats the difference between me and you and alot of other people on here. Its the matter of fact, holier than thou attitude of "i know this is the real version because....well, because i now its the real version", or conversely the "i know this is the fake version, promo version, because....well because i just know it is". No one knows, and anyone on here, who isnt connected with the band, is lying flat out. EMI's word shouldnt be considered final. Record labels, all record labels, view illegal filesharing as tantamount to treason, punishable by large fines or even jail time. They have a stake in trying to have people buy the record and discourage illegal filesharing. Ive never once on here said that this was the final version or that it was a promo. so i;d suggest you reread my posts, and take a second look. Its silly to debate with people who make up statements. Im happy to defend my posts, but how can i defend a post i never made? Thats dumb and pointless. The main point of it is, lets have a debate about the leak being final or not. Thats a good idea. But lets not kid ourselves that we can deduce whether its final or not, and lets not debase ourselves by acting like we are in the know about whether its the final version or not. Opinions are fine, but acting like holier than thou folks who are in the know, when they really aren't... take that elsewhere
  12. as ive repeated three times now, theres no way to tell one way or the other, unless you are in coldplays inner circle or are a record store owner who has been given copies. i assume you are neither. im neither as well. at this point as ive said its a bunch of people on here, trying to decipher whether its an unfinished album or the real deal. there is pretty much no way to figure or parse this out, whether its the true final version or not. the fact you posted that its not the finished version, and said it so matter of factly, and without doubt is silly and naive given the fact that its just conjecture and innuendo and theories at this point in time. You can believe its the final version or its the promo unfinished version. thats fine. but to say "Its definitely this, no question about it", is beyond the pale
  13. the mistakes are a red flag in one way, but they also arent. how many albums have come out in the last 40 years or so with mistakes included? Hundreds maybe thousands. those that have said mistakes have become legendary. Ringo's "blisters on my fingers" in Helter Skelter, Dylan messing up a take on Bob Dylans 115th dream and erupting into laughter etc... mistakes dont necessarily translate into an album thats not finished, just sayin...
  14. how you you know its the unfinished version? unless you are a record store owner and have been told this, or are part of the EMI crew, or are a part of the Coldplay organization and management, i think its silly to say one way or the other with certainty, like you did, that this leak is not the final version. How would you know? Thats why i said, right now its silly. its a bunch of people arguing over whether its the final version or not. just conjecture and rumors and theories. thats all. thats all we have until the band come out and say so, or the retail versions come out and we can compare.
  15. so what time exactly, is the japanese retail going onsale? when will we have final word on if this leak is legit or not? Im kind of antsy and anxious. either this is the real leak, or its not the final version, one or the other. i dislike not knowing one way or the other. if its legit, we deal with it, and have the album. if its not the final version then we know to wait.
  16. uhh, gee let me see. VLV was the first album since 2005 which was when Arcade Fire broke. Coldplay changed their wardrobe, from normal dress, to the current warddrobe. The clothes look like they are from another time period, another era, another country, or another century. Look at pictures of Arcade Fire performing live, and what they wear. Chris martin, as I said, is quoted as saying Arcade Fire is the best band in history, and has raved about them countless times and has been seen at many a AF gig. Youtube it. Coldplay has always played anthemic, bombastic music from Parachutes to VLV, but the whole vibe of VLV is different. Cemetaries in London has a AF vibe. 42 has a AF vibe. Lost! has a AF vibe. LIJ has a AF vibe Maybe I am wrong, but didnt Coldplay record VLV in a church? Or are they doing that for LP5? Arcade Fires Neon Bible was famously recorded in a church. Frankly, youre barking mad if you cant detect a heavy AF vibe on LP4
  17. Viva la Vida as an album was highly influenced by Arcade Fire, the influence is even apparent in their wardrobes for the past few years. Will Lp5 be another nod to a band that chris once called "the greatest band in history"?
