  1. Yeah i agree with you but i think mainly its that the guys just need a well deserved break. they have managed to conquer the world with Viva, played hundreds of shows and they just need time to recover. to be fresh, to get out of the mindset of Viva and start a new journey. to be honest im surprised they will not be releasing and publishing themselves with them being the biggest and best band in the world!!! :D
  2. Hi there! My name is Ben and i am new to this site but have been a fan of Coldplay since i can remember, dont know why it took me this log to get on here!! Coldplay have always been my favorite band mainly due to the fact that their music is just beautiful. Their music has helped me through alot of rough and bad times and have always been there when i needed it. THAT is how my passion for Coldplay has grown into this state of absolute bliss, not just because their tunes are catchy. And their live shows absolutely blow me away, couldnt picture a better place on earth to be :) I am a musician and i am also a student at university studying Music :) ...how convenient ha! I play the piano, guitar, drums, alto and tenor sax, clarinet, bass and i have also started trying to be a lead singer. i am now currently in 4 bands and i also have a solo project running at the moment. The four bands are completely different genres ranging from rock/pop to metal to psychedelic prog-rock, what an amazing mix haha! My main band though is called "Blindsun", this is my main band that i started which you could say is like coldplay but i think we are starting to develop our own sound which is great! My solo project is all about ambient and chill out music and is self titled "Ben Widdall Music" Would be great if you could check my stuff out guys and would love to hear feedback from you lovely people :D My plan after university is to, unless one of my bands make it ha, go into composing music for film, adverts and other media like that and also maybe games. Just generally a composer but also maybe being a producer as well on the side running along with my solo project. Thanks for reading :)
  3. My review on Matt McGinn's "Roadie - My Life On The Road With Coldplay" Heya, i am new to this forum i cant believe i have never joined onto this being a hardcore coldplay fan for the past 10 years! I purchased Matt's book the day it was released and have been very eager to read it. This book is very well written and has a very good, friendly but real tone to it. The book is filled with brilliant stories about himself with the band and gives you a big insight into what happens behind the scenes as a roadie for Coldplay. With this book you travel with Matt through the journey of Coldplay through the good times and the not so good times, but overall it is a brilliant read and i absolutely love it and recommend it to absolutely anyone! Even if you are not a massive fan of the band yo ustill get the insight and the stories of what it is like being a roadie for a band that started out traveling up the M1 in a minivan and re now jetting around the world for massive stadium world tours! Viva Coldplay! :D
