Greetings fellow fans and aficionados!!!
I have been struggling with some questions as of late. If the info I have gleaned from the "official" Coldplay website states that the band will never compromise themselves by lending their music to advertisements, then please explain why we hear "Clocks" as the theme of the recent HBO
campaign? Why has their music appeared in the background of various
TV shows?
I am studying to be a paralegal (legal assistant) and have a great interest in intellectual property law, so the use of music, thought and ideas in a commercial arena intrigues me. Please enlighten me, if you can, how these snipets of songs end up on the airwaves without the so-called blessing and personal enrichment of one of my favorite bands.
P.S. I saw them on 1/31/03 and can say that I preferred their show last year at the Bronco Bowl.
