We have a formal treaty with them ( a Republican prez signed it!) that says we have to protect their kingdom and their king. Are you or Bush going to revoke us from that treaty (Bush is so good at doing that; he got us out of treaties that protect the world environment, and also one that established the World Criminal Court....go figure that!) ??? Nixon was the prez in 1971. Another Republican. You want America to get people their freedom? How about us raiding Tibet and freeing it of the Chinese colonial rule? We can do it right now, while Bush has the iron hot...strike it! How about a smaller target....Northern Ireland? Or, maybe Kashmir? I can tell you that neither of the 3 will happen. 'cuz there's no political or economic reason. Bush could have easily grabbed Saddam in April, had he wanted to. He waited til December so that we can have renewed celebration! I wouldn't be surprised if Osama shows up in our hands around August or September....so that people go vote in droves and re-elect Bush in November. :dozey:

U.S. had a much larger Navy (and it didn't mind using it to try and protect its client dictator...ruler of Pakistan, whose skin got saved or else India would have hung him just like we will do with Saddam now). yeah. The millions that U.S. gives get dwarfed in a big way by all that we receive! haha Did you know that Gulf War I was not fought with our own money? We sent in a bill of...what was it?--$60 billion to Kuwait. They're still paying us back with free oil! :lol: U.S. has freed people. But only where it suited its own perceived self-interest. Otherwise, it didn't bother to free up many other peoples of the world. There's nothing "moral" or "holy" about it, is what I'm saying. You just accept that U.S. conducts its foreign policy--and war is included in that--purely with self-interest in mind, than we shall agree.

Pakistani dictator Generals in 1970-71 killed up to 1 million Bengalis, their own citizens. When Indian Army went to their rescue, America sent in its much-vaunted 7th Fleet to frighten India....a democracy, I might add. That's just one example. I can give you the very recent example of the Hutu-Tutsi genocide in Rwanda, where America stood silent and didn't do diddly-squat as about 300,000 people were butchered in less than a week. So there you go. According to you, we're not better than Saddam! Thank you very much.

where were you--and people like you---when Bush's DADDY dearest was giving away the chemical weapons to Saddam in his fight against Iran? Where were you when Bush Sr., and Reagan before him, turned a blind eye to the mass-slaughter of Iranian troops caused by illegal use of chemical weapons by Saddam?--the very same chemical weapons that U.S. supplied him with! This war was simply a war of vengence and as a show to distract Americans from the real issues such as job-losses, and also the main issue of being unable to account for Bin Laden still. War of Mass Distraction!

Perhaps a good question to ask is why are YOU for this war, when so many are against it? :rolleyes:

Believe me, there are way more evil countries right now, or atleast countries governed by evil people/dictators, then Saddam. The way U.S. has conducted its foreign policy over the years, it could be declared an Evil Nation too. And don't you think you have no part in it, mister! You are a direct beneficiary of cheap oil and cheap goods that've come to U.S. as a result of many dubious foreign policy initiatives over the years. :rolleyes:
