[18-May-2012] Coldplay @ Dragao Stadium, Porto, Portugal
Unless it's raining cats and dogs, a little bit of rain here and there is more than ok. It keeps the audience fresh, and makes the light show even more spectacular. Back in October, at the Unstaged show in Madrid, it rained slightly and mainly during Yellow, The Scientist and Fix You. And believe me, the rain made it all much more special and unforgettable. There will be slight showers tomorrow in Madrid as well, and I appreciate that :) Temperatures have been consistently above 33ºC for the whole week so a little bit of spring weather will be fine!

Of course :) I'm gonna try to sneak in again today evening, although security uses to increase highly the day prior to the show. There was very few security yesterday. One thing I didn't see or was able to think where will be situated was the C-stage :inquisitive: I'm not sure if it will be on the seats or on the field. I hope there's some decent photos of the C-stage in Oporto...

Hi there :) I sneaked into the venue this evening as I did in October at Las Ventas bullring ;) The venue is still unfinished (still 48 hours to showtime!), but here are some pics: SPOILER :D:D:D

MX-Tour Multicam DVD ?
I'm all for this. I can't say I'm up for the editing proccess since it requires a better computer than mine to deal with huge HD videos, but I sure can provide help and feedback. Moreover, I will be at the Madrid show, and I will record it in audio and hopefully video too (at least some songs). I can't guarantee cristal clear recording as I'm not a taper but a fan, but it's something :)

Hi everyone :) I've done it again  I sneaked into Las Ventas bullring, but this time I went even further and went up to the nosebleeds and the upper seats. Again, I've taken abundant footage (photos and some videos too) of the stage and the surroundings, so people queing know what to expect. I won't go into a lot of detail as pictures speak for themselves. I just took pics of everything :D I also managed to get a full plot of the venue, 1:250 scale, where you can see most of lightning gear, etc. That pic is also attached. Enjoy. Thanks for watching :)

Subways run until past 1:30AM, so they can be catched no problem after the concert (it should end by 00:00 or 00:30 if they run late)... Nevertheless, we should expect a human-flood at the subway after the show :P And there is absolutely NO problem catching cabs at night, specially on big events like concerts. There will be plenty of cab drivers waiting at the outside of the venue for you all ;) The problem is that a cab to, let's say, Puerta del Sol (the pure centre of the city) could be around 9-12€ (15-18 US $)... If you're keen to pay that, then I recommend you to pick up one, it's the most convenient way of transporting through the city at night. I'm still excited for having sneaked into there! The stage is going to look amazing, I promise you all :) I might repeat the experience tomorrow, when the stage is finished (or almost), although I think the security will be even higher... :(

OMG!!! I've sneaked INTO the Las Ventas bullring ant took abundant footage of the stage being built (yes, it's not finished yet!)... I went there after my job ended so I was well dressed (shirt and suit trousers), and I speak a very good english so I didn't hide myself: I just passed myself off for a staff member!! I wandered around some dressing rooms, corridors and the like, and then I saw a gate that pointed to the actual ground of the bullring. I headed myself to there and then I came out into the stage being built!!! There are still a lot of cranes and machine operators, but the basic stage structure is visible. I was thrown out (pretty roughly) when they saw me taking lots of pics with a huge grin in my face hahahaha :laugh3::laugh3::laugh3: I will share the pics when I get home! The stage is not built yet but there is some interesting stuff there. Hold on for a few hours! :D

There's a Coldplay-themed after-show party at Independance Club (17, Santa Engracia street). It's one of my favorite discos in Madrid, I highly recommend it. By subway, you can reach there within 10-15 minutes from the Las Ventas bullring. Other than that, I don't know. Most bars and pubs near Las Ventas will be closed after the show finishes...

You can always use a proxy (if you know how to set up one) or Expat Shield (google it if you don't know what it is). Both methods can temporally fake your IPs. Using a proxy, Youtube thinks you're in -let's say- United States, or Brazil (depends on where the proxy is settled). Expat Shield automatically makes you appear like being in the United Kingdom. It works for sure (and like a charm) because I use it to watch BBC1 and BBC·HD online.

By the way, I'm thinking of making a sign asking for a song, obviously chosen out of my favorites. Which one do you think has more chances to be noticed (and potentially played) by them/Chris? -Amsterdam (♥) -Trouble -Speed Of Sound -Shiver (♥)

Hello again, people! For those of you who are wondering about the queueing time - Wednesday it's a normal day in Spain, everyone has jobs or classes so I am not expecting a massive queue before 2 or 3 PM (lunch time, when everyone is going to join the queue I think). I am aiming for first row in the field and I'm arriving there around 8 AM, so it should be fine. I will carry just the neccesary, an umbrella, a few cushions and my guitar. I can leave it all later in my mum's job so :) Regarding other people joining the queue later... Well, that's a normal thing in most concerts. I have done it plenty of times, I am keen to queue for two days for bands like U2, Muse or COldplay, but my friends aren't; that's why I usually join the queue on my own and then they join me too. The ONLY thing you have to do is to warn the people queing besides you, both in front and behind you. I mean, if you're number 45 in the queue, you should warn numbers 44 and 46 that two or three friends of yours will arrive later in the day. If you're friendly enough you'll have no problem. That sais, you should expect a few reprobatory looks from the rest of the queue :P

Hello! I'm Sergio, I'm Spanish (from Madrid) and I've been silently watching you all since a few years ago. It's now the time to properly say hello, isn't it? :) Oh well, I'll go straight to the point. I'm attending the Coldplay show next Wednesday. It's my first CP show although, I've been a fan for maybe 5 or 6 years now... I didn't get to see them in the X&Y nor VLV tours, and I was eagerly waiting for my chance to come. Now it has ;) The best thing of it is that my girlfriend is the biggest Coldplay fan you can ever imagine, she's got something really special with this band... And I can eventually say that I'm making her dream come true. I feel really lucky and blessed, and I want to thank the guys for choosing Madrid for their Mylo Xyloto world-premiere. It's a honour. I have surfed through all this looong topic and didn't get to see a pic of the tickets, so here comes mine: Regarding the actual concert, I think I will start queing early in the morning of the 26th (8AM) since my mom works 50 meters away from the Las Ventas bullring... Although I might end up spending the night there, if it's not raining cats and dogs or something. I just want to have the best spot possible. If someone has any questions regarding how to get to the bullring, where to have a drink or anything - I'm open to you. I've spent many years studying in a school a few yards away, so I know the zone very well. Nice to meet you all :D
