AROBTTH is my fave album, so I'm kinda disappointed that anyone could rate it so low... but I can see what they might have disliked about it. On AROBTTH, many of the songs have a similar sound to them.
That sound is unadulterated awesome.
Unfortunately, critics don't like it and view it as "unoriginality" I guess. I'm perfectly happy to have the same fantastic vibe flowing through my head for the entire album.
So perhaps it's the complete song variation of Mylo Xyloto that got these critics fired up?
Admittedly, the album's not what I hoped it'd be, and I don't think it's quite as iconic as Rush of Blood. If Coldplay were to infuse more of the AROBTHH vibe into new songs whilst still maintaining some of the energy and tone of MX, then they might just crack the code to get those critics to open up.
