do you know what would be AMAZING...if COLDPLAY played in HALIFAX......omg my heart just skipps thinking about it....if they did announce i think i might have a heart attack. The closest theyve been is toronto which is way too far away.....cause i live on PEI and nobody i know likes coldplay enough to go with me.....sigh:( :\ ....They have a large fan base and everything and they played the junos here...Oh if only they did a concert in the halifax metro center ............by the way all you maritmes certainly know how i feel so you should post back:)

well they did play at the juno's which would have been awesome to see. I feel bad for the islanders such as yourself.

they played at the junos... but thats just a small taste i guess for ya.... come to ottawa i`ll meet ya at the next time they come;)

hahaha sorry lol i just realized it now......im so dumb:(

Like they said, Coldplay did play at the Metro Center... I was one of the people talking to Chris on the sidewalk outside right after soundcheck.

I was *this close* to asking him if he thought Coldplay would ever come back to Halifax, but I chickened out. Hard to think straight when he's standing right in front of you.

But I do really, really, really hope that they thought enough of the place to come back again for a proper concert- with any luck when they start touring the next album they'll keep Halifax in mind now that they've been here once already.

wow there so lucky i would give anything to meet them though yeh they DID say they loved canada maybe theyll come to the eastern side since they did go to vancouver............

yea vancouver concert was wicked cool. umm montreal and toronto is the closest actual concerts you might get. I cant see them stoping in halifax, i dont know if there is a big fan base out there. But we can still hope for a stop next tour.

There is actually a massive fanbase out here. (I think the unproportional number of Nova Scotians I've seen on this board alone would prove that). Speed of Sound, Talk, and THP were all songs that you couldn't turn on the radio without hearing for awhile, and it was THE talk of the town when they came for the Junos.

Fact is we can fill an arena for any big act easily- we're so attention starved that anyone big will be a MASSIVE deal when they do come. The problem is that they never come because of the distance- 12 hours driving from Montreal or Boston- which doesn't make the stop very economical.

Just look at that Rolling Stones concert at Magnetic Hill in Moncton last year- they sold about 85,000 tickets, enough to bring them back to Halifax this fall.

:dozey: You and your polar bears...

I'll polar bear you! *sic 'em fluffy* :laugh3: :P
