[Single Review] Death In Public - 'I Really Hate Coldplay'

Rating: 1/5

Single Review by: http://www.thisisfakediy.co.uk

With a title like that, you've got to be ninety percent in love with Death In Public before you even play the track.

So imagine our bitter disappointment when 'I Really Hate Coldplay' turns out to be a not-so-good Mansun style tune with an irritating high-pitched male whining over a grubby goth backing. It's like someone trying to be an indie Marilyn Manson, but not half as intoxicating as that sounds on paper.

We're not quite sure what we expected, but it was a lot more shiny, exciting and vital than this pile of messy rubbish. Death In Public surely had the chance to make a huge anthem sung by every self-respecting kid the length and breadth of the country - but all they've ended up with is this damp squib instead.

True, we're not so keen on Coldplay. But then again - on the basis of this track - we're not all that fond of Death In Public either. 'I Really Hate Coldplay' is released as a single through RU Records on 18th June 2007.
