Mike Skinner has said the version of The Streets 'Dry Your Eyes' which features Chris Martin could have leaked online. The song, which was released as a single this week (July 19) and could become the rapper's biggest ever hit, was originally recorded with the Coldplay star on backing vocals. However, it was decided that a different version would be used, and the collaboration between two of Britain’s biggest stars would never see the light of day.   Speaking today (July 21), Skinner claimed th

Brace yourself for more wince-inducing TV this week — and we’re not even talking “American Idol.” No, it’s the hilarious cringe-fest “Extras,” and yes, we’re having a laugh.   Poor Andy Millman (Ricky Gervais) just can’t catch a break. On his sitcom, he’s stuck in a horrible black wig and red glasses, forever mandated to repeat a catchphrase he’s beginning to loathe (see above). And last week he was humiliated (brilliantly) by David Bowie. “Chubby little loser.Pathetic little fan man,” Bowie cro

"World Trade Center" will have its red-carpet premiere tonight at the Ziegfeld Theater, but celebration will be kept to a minimum.   A half-hour show with Stone, co-stars Nicolas Cage and Michael Pena, as well as Jimeno, has been running on MTV. And a TV commercial for the film features "Fix You," a popular tune by the rock band Coldplay that's not on the soundtrack.   The film's official Web site, wtcmovie.com, and Paramount's promotional page on myspace.com feature interviews with 18 people cl

Coldplay’s 'Fix You' [pictured] re-entered the UK Single Charts at number 37, whilst the Kaiser Chiefs’ ‘I Predict A Riot’ re-enters at number 39.   Coldplay's other current single 'Talk' drops down ten places to 20th.   Other surprises include Madonna’s former number one single 'Hung Up' is a climber from 8 to 3 in the first UK music charts of 2006 where Shayne Ward holds onto the top spot with ‘That’s My Goal’.   In the albums charts, Eminem spends a fifth straight week at the top with ‘Curtai

BBC's 6 Music has learned that Abbey Road studios will not be prosecuted over a Coldplay gig it hosted for the BBC.   The recording studio was threatened with prosecution under new licensing laws because it hosted an "illegal" gig organised by the broadcasting corporation.   Lawyers from Westminster Council claimed the concert, which will be aired on Radio 2 in April, was the first live music event to break the law since it came into force in November. Westminster sought legal advice when a form

Some films speak in a language designed only for a particular group of people. "Glastonbury," a documentary film about the history of a 35-year-old annual summer music festival held on a farm in southwestern England, is one of them. If you are not a rock music fan, nor interested in the "spirit" of such big-scale music festivals, you better not watch the film. Chances are that you will end up leaving after a few minutes, as some people did during the film’s preview at Sponge House in southern Se

'On My Way Home', a new song title, thought to be a new Coldplay song, with possible inclusion on Rihanna's upcoming soundtrack or even the next Coldplay album has been recorded by an urban group called PENTATONIX.   The song has Coldplay listed as writers but it's believed to be for the lyrics within PENTATONIX's song, "lights go down" which is included on Coldplay's song, Charlie Brown (Thanks Coldplayzone.it). So our favourite band, at least, are receiving royalties for that portion of lyric
