In a move that would undoubtedly make Queen guitarist Brian May blush with pride, it’s been reported that Coldplay have now also becoming space fanciers. The band are going cosmic during their latest album recording sessions, says The Sun today, following Roadie #42's last blog. Frontman Chris Martin stunned his crew this week by asking them to build him a model solar system in the band's new studio. I wonder if he's been enjoying TV starman Doctor Brian Cox's recent series as much as I have?

Well things on the LP5 front are hotting up already, just weeks after the band returned from their Latin America tour. No sooner than they close the door on Viva la Vida, another one opens with hope that 2010 will see new material being released. In this month's Q magazine, the '10 seconds with Chris Martin' snippet hinted that there may well be some new music to listen to before the year is out. According to various sources, EMI is currently in talks to license its back catalogue to competing labels. This means that the rights to artists such as the Beatles, Pink Floyd, Queen and Coldplay could soon belong to another record company. In other words, this is like that point near to the end of a Monopoly game when you start mortgaging all of your properties
