The time has again come to have a good long look at the music world around us and ask ourselves: "What albums did we like this year?" [thanks Space Cadet]
We are now accepting your favourite albums from the past 12 months in preparation for the December countdown in the World Of Music forum at the Coldplaying messageboard. All you have to do is make a personal list of at least 5 and as many as 25 of your favorite original studio albums (no live albums, eps, compilations, or rereleases, sorry) released between December 2008 and December 2009. Eligibility is determined by the original release date. (Long list bonus: add 5 extra albums at 50 points each for a total of 30 albums.)
You can use this thread to sketch out some ideas, talk, or post your list. You can edit your list at any time up until the deadline. Also available at that thread are links to previous years' countdowns as well as explanation of how the ranking works. Please note that the deadline for entries is Sunday December 6th.
To help you make your choices, at Wikipedia there is a list of albums released this year (note the list is still being added to).
