    Ultimate-Guitar titles Coldplay's LP5 as 'The Beehive'

coldplaynme.jpgUltimate-Guitar.com posted an article this week claiming the title of Coldplay's fifth album is 'The Beehive'. Whether or not this is a mistake, or just early judgment is uncertain. Here's the full quote: 'The Beehive' is a follow-up to 2008's 'Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends' and is set to be released by the end of the year. More discussion on this at the Coldplay forum here [thanks TyM218]

Meanwhile in previous album news, Coldplay have been named in Spin's 125 Best Albums of the past 25 Years. A Rush Of Blood To The Head (2002) came 107th in the list. Here is the entry for that album:

These British romantics resurrected sincerity, giving other musicians the right to wear their hearts on their sleeves -- and accompany it with strings. "Unless you consider sighing a form of aerobic exercise, Coldplay aren't really about body-moving," SPIN wrote in 2002. "They're about ballads. And the best ones here have a stately, spacy grace, like what Bono might come up with after a couple weeks on an iceberg with Nordic warblers Sigur Ros." John Mayer explained the thrill of songs like "Clocks" to the magazine in 2004: "Coldplay makes everyone feel like as if they are the stars of their own movie."
