I just want to comment that X&Y did leak. I was the admin of the forums that it leaked on (wirez, for those of you with good memory). The webmaster had a contact and he somehow got it. Though admitedly it was only a week before release.

wiReZ has a copy of it but everyone coldplayed his site last night. xD

Politik. Such a damn great song. Hell, the first 6 songs are absolutely amazing in the jawdropping way.

Words are used differently depending on the geographical locations. If we both understand what the other is saying... why the arguing? xD

By experimentation I don't mean it being new. I mean they're experimenting with adding it into their current sound. Just in the sense that when teenagers are fooling around with a girlfriend or boyfriend it's called experimenting. Everyone's done it. It's nothing new. But it's new to them.

Try Square One? White Shadows? It's not electronica in the Aphex Twin sense of the word. I'm not saying the whole album is drum n' bass. Just listen to OK Computer. There's nothing like that there either. Electronica is different than techno mind you. Electronica is Brian Eno/David Bowie. Stuff like that.

I don't think X&Y is going to sound exactly like OK Computer just as A Rush of Blood didn't sound exactly like The Bends. I just think the quality is going to be up there. :) I have this nagging feeling Coldplay's going to pull an amnesiac out next. Not a Kid A, that's too extreme for them.

That's my thinking exactly. Here's my little table: Radiohead - Coldplay First Album - Pablo Honey - Parachutes The decent record. Though my least favorite. Big Single - Creep - Yellow Brings em to the mainstream. Dismissed as a one hit wonder. Second Album - The Bends - A Rush of Blood to the Head Much better album. A bunch of singles Third Album - OK Computer - X&Y Starts experiments with electronica. Wowzers. xD

Yellow here too. Probably one of my least favourite songs by them. :( Wow. I just realized all of my songs on Parachutes are .ogg files. o_O
