How is the Hard Rock? I've passed it a few times but have never been able to visit? I know it's Vegas but is it a decent place to hang out?? thanks!

let me know! i've never been to a meet up with other fans before. it would be a blast! too bad the concert isn't at the st pete times forum...we could hang out across the street and get some nice cold beverages before the show!!

you'll be fine MartinFan! thats what we had to do and it all worked out. we only had 2 weeks to work with..you having 4 gives you some cushion! best of luck and congrats that you'll be heading across the pond!

it's a tough call ...i just see all those vids of Coldplay performing overseas and compared to US crowds...are so much more into it! i think it would be neat plus it would be cool to get your perspective on how it really is to be at a show there!

Hey again.. You should go ahead and get your passport issues squared away now. No matter what you do. My mom had to expedite hers a few years and she paid a pretty penny to get it done. Maybe the turnaround time won't be as bad since we are winding down vacation season. Usually if you try to get an expedited passport right before summer vacation starts...it might take a little longer! good luck again....

Oh WOW MartinFan! that's a tough call. I would love to see those guys in their home country just to feel the energy of that crowd! But I do understand due to your kids ..that would be difficult. Plus if you aren't familiar with London ...that's an issue there too. Good luck with whatever you do!

Hello GreenEyes.. For the most part yes. Usually shows are spread throughout the year.....but usually spring and throughout the summer is pretty busy (this week alone had about 4 or 5 shows scheduled before and after the Coldplay show!) hope that helps.. Sam

You are most welcome!! btw...if you decide to change up your section 8 tix...i only was able to get 2 tickets in section 13 (damn LiveNation pre-sales!!). i would be happy to pay the difference of what you paid compared to mine...it's been so long since i've had a good view of the fella's. the best show (at least the closest i was to them) was my first Coldplay show at the Hard Rock in Orlando several years ago. unfortunately since then i've been pretty much closer to the back (I was upper level at the Madison Square Garden). I did have floor seats to last year's Cleveland show..but I had a girl stand on her chair the whole time so I had to go back and forth during the whole show. She was finally asked to leave the area...but that was during the encore! argh!! thanks for taking time to read my long post...just looking for a decent upgrade!! thanks in advance!

well..the good thing is that it looks more positive that they will honor the date (i had no doubt they would!) and make it back for a one and only USA show for the fans in Tampa. Maybe by then some of the newer material they will be working on will be complete and maybe then can rewards the fans by playing a new tune or two! wishing for the best....

hey again guys...sorry if another thread was started on this...but now that Tampa has passed...what about those free concert cd's we were supposed to get! argh! i downloaded mine when it came out of course..but i was hoping to be the one of the lucky 20 that got the autographed version! maybe for the tampa crowd they can autograph more copies! oh well....we can all dream can't we?

Thanks guys for confirming that you can catch the flu in the summer! So if you think about it...when the guys are doing all these shows...your immune system has to be weaker the longer you go at this pace! So maybe Chris was in that situation and had contact with someone....

Ah...thanks Cobalt for the update! I thought they were referring to the show back in 2005! I work at a doctors office here in Florida and we do have a few cases in the summer of patients with the flu! So it does happen!

Hey there Thinline.. I was actually at that show in NYC (Madison Square Garden!) a few years ago. I don't remember them stopping the show...I just remember Chris having a hard time reaching some notes and his voice was giving out here and there. They were going to hit Florida (Tampa in fact) that next week when they had to postpone due to his health. Hopefully everything works out and they reschedule to appease most of the Coldplay fans!

When I saw them back in 2007...they played Orlando and the very next night played Tampa (which was the rescheduled show from a few months back). Orlando was indoors and the next night in Tampa was at an outdoor ampitheater. Both were great shows but in my opinion the Orlando showed rocked harder. Maybe due to playing a show indoors seems to be more intimate and it was definitely louder for sure. The best part of the show was when Chris asked us to take out our cell phones and to swing them back and forth (I forget which song it was for..but man it WAS SO COOL!).

it would be great for Thursday of course..but how many people can attend a rescheduled show that's pretty much still a last minute reschedule? from reading this thread i see there were quite a few people (from Cali to out of the country) that made special plans to see them in Tampa. i feel for those folks cause i went through the same thing last year when their Cleveland show (originally for July 2008) was pushed back (due to technical/stage issues). i had to switch my airline ticket (which is pricey already!) but the hardcore Coldplay fans will pretty much do anything to see them! i did!
