I agree, I cant see how anyone how calls themselves a Coldplay fan could dislike this album

I for one do. Rush had several weak tracks. A Whisper sounded much like a B-side to me. Warning Sign is probably my least favorite Coldplay song of all time, as well. I can honestly say I like every track on this record. Another reason I think this record is superior is because it actually rocks! Square One, Talk, White Shadows, Twisted Logic and hell some of the other pick up the pace at the end. On AROBTTH, we had Politik, GPAPUYF, and the end of Amsterdamn, maybe. X&Y is just a more musically interesting album for me.

Try listening to "Parachutes" after "X&Y" and it's like night and day. This new record is not just a monumental disappointment, it's simply bad. Is it pleasing to the ears? Sure. Does it have any of the heart and soul that an album like "Parachutes" had? Absolutely not. This is a very neutered affair, and it's safe to say that Chris Martin has officially cut his balls off. The lyrics on "X&Y" are about as pedestrian and amateurish as I've heard in awhile. I was expecting great things from this album after hearing the buzz, but this is a dismal effort in every way imaginable. But it'll be huge, and I'm sure I'll hear it in every mall and grocery store I go to over the next few years. But this is most definitely NOT challenging rock music. This is Chris Martin gushing over how in love he is and filling his songs with some of the most obvious cliches I've heard in awhile. What a sad way to fall. 4/10 here is one of the reviews

I really don't understand it, from what I have been seeing on other forum, most people find this to be a weak album. Check out this thread http://www.dvdtalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=417063&page=3&pp=25 Usually, the taste of the people of that forum have good taste. I just hope this album doesnt tank for the band.

I think there are some similarities: Quiet first verse, then chorus. Acoustic guitar kicks in. Chorus. Fuzzy Guitar. Of course they are no that similar, but I think Fix is The Scientist of this album.

Seeing as these two songs are somewhat similar in style, which one do you think is better. I think The Scientist by hair. Fix You is no slouch however.

For me Its X&Y AROBTTH Parachutes 10/10 Songs on X&Y=Talk, White Shadows, Square One, X&Y, Fix You 10/10 on AROBTTH=Clocks, Politik, Scientist, GPASUYF, Amsterdam 10/10 on Parachutes=Shiver, Spies, Yellow, Trouble X&Y wins because it ROCKS much more than any other album

Would anyone be willing to host this song, because it sure as hell isn't on the American version of Itunes. I even clicked the links the Coldplay sight sent me and it just brought up the original version. I clicked the Uk link for kicks and it said the Ep would not be available until the 23rd, its the freakin 24th! People on the Official message boards have been downloading it though, so could someone help me out. Thanks
