  1. I think you're correct, saying that he plays the same note on the 'G' (now E) string. (So 10 and 10, 2 and 2) At the "Wah wah wah wah waterfall" part he plays some sort of G chord at the fifth fret: this will probably be a 5.7.7.5.0.0 I think. The only problem I have with this is that Chris usually plays these types of shapes with his index finger and thumb: while during these live performances he plays them (10.12.12.10 for instance) with his thumb and middle-finger. (leabving his index finger out entirely) Why would he do that?
  2. Hi everyone! It took me a while, but I finally 'cracked' the code and found out which chords Chris uses during AHFOD live performances of ETIAW! That being said: the bottom two strings are probably tuned differently, and that's the only thing I have yet to figure out: So if someone can figure out the tuning using these correct chords, that would be awesome! EDIT: Suggested/confirmed tuning is: EADEAE Suggested chords D: 10.12.12.10.0.0. C#/A: 9.12.11.0.9.0. F#m: 2.4.4.2.0.0. A: 5.7.7.5.0.0. This video helped me the most: BUT: Can someone please help to find the right tuning for these chords?
  3. Actually, that's one of the few 'hard' ones to find/tab original versions for! Tried it numerous times, just like the guitar in Every Teardrop is a Waterfall. The closest thing I found was the version of Charlie Edmonds: Which I quickly tabbed (chord names might be different but you get the idea): Tuning: E A D G C E – No Capo (Careful: the 'B' string might break when tuned to C :o ) Chords: Am – 5.7.7.5.0.0 F – 1.3.3.2.0.0 C - 8.10.10.9.0.0 Cvar – 8.10.10.7.0.0 Bm - 3.5.5.4.0.0 Intro: Am F C Cvar x2 Verse 1 Am F C Been standing in the corner, studying the lights Am F C The dreaming of escape will keep you up at night Am F C But someone had put the flares up, and got me in the rays Am F C So-o-o-o I guess I’d better stay - ‘uh uh, no come on’ you say Refrain 1 F Bm It’s a fool’s gold thunder, it’s just a warring rain F Bm Don’t let the fears just start ‘what if - I won’t see you again’ F Bm Around here you never want to sleep all night F Bm So start falling in love, start the riot and Chorus 1 Am F C Come on rage with me Am F C We don’t need words, and we’ll be birds Am F C Cvar got to make our own key Verse 2 Am F C Only got this moment, you and me, guilty of nothing, but geography Outro Am F C Bm Am F C Bm When you fly won’t you, won’t you take me too? Am F C Bm Am F –stop- in this world so cruel, I think you’re so cool That's the closest version I found.
  4. Hi! Don't know if this is the right place, but I have the following: In the Live Lounge version of Oceans you can quite clearly see the chords that Jonny plays on a keyboard, that make up the background strings section. I can't quite figure it out though, so hopefully someone can help: At atbout 2:57: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=id=axWQoA1Psh0;t=178 I can see his thumb on a C#, but the rest is quite vague. During the song you can see a shot of him placing his fingers, that might help.
