  1. i baught a second hand copy of this combo :D about 12 or 15 euros ! and for the price it's worth the cost ;) for those who never listen to the one i love live version, run to your cd-deliver, and buy it for sure :D a real good version, better than the original  and, "life is for living" at the very end of the dvd is really awesome :o a huge song actually ! :P :smug:
  2. i notice that in the post poll about coldplay's albums nobody mentione the live 2003 cd & dvd. do you like it or not ? in my opinion, i really like the dvd and the cd tracklist without the two great songs scientist and trouble doesn't interest me very much :( i think that the first two songs sound exactly as the same as the studio version so i always skip the cd until the number three (a rush of blood) however, the one i love live version is really awesome and moses is ok. and, what about you ? do you play it frequently ? do you even have it ?
  3. most of us prefer the firts three songs listed bellow :P 01 x&y 02 fix you 03 what if 04 twisted logic 05 speed of sound 06 talk 07 a message 08 low 09 till kingdom come 10 sqaure one 11 white shadows 12 swallowed in the sea 13 the hardest part
  4. white shadows played live ain't as good as on the album, i'm afraid. and politik and square played live sounded exactly the same as on the album ! they should play others stuffs like : bigger stronger, brothers & sisters, for you, spies, sparks, a whisper, green eys, one i love (huge live version on the official live 2003 :P ), animals (live version from brixton gig in 2001 is awesome !! :D ), x&y and twisted logic ! that's it ! ;)
  5. brothers & sisters was the first tune to be played on radio and to smash an audience ! it's a real good song with heavy b-sides such as easy to please and superstition ! worth the money ! :P
  6. first time i heard fix you and this last part i thaught that my cd player switch on the last song of pink floyd's dark side of the moon ! it's really good anyway ! :P
  7. me too! :stunned: (...) me too !! how can you prefer the second lp than the first one :o parachutes is really amazing with good tunes on it ! actually, it's ma favorite : all songs are wonderfull ! i can't even skip one of them ! which is very rare for an album nowadays :/ even if there are some good tunes on a rush of blood to the head (scientist, warning, a rush of blood), some are... inexistants... without any imagination or interest ! anyway, everyone can choose its favorite :P :D can we pick on our best cd released by ourselves like a compilation of their first songs and b-sides :P this would be my fav' :D
  8. right now it's the "home cookin' : infectious grooves steamed by blue note" from the groove experience releases. great sounds from the soul-funk-jazz-70's mood. next cd will be x&y for sure :D
  9. even if nowadays i listen to x&y every time i switch on my cdplayer or my ipod :D my favorite is still parachutes ;) i discover the band at the time of pre-parachute promo when they play songs of the blue room ep and their (at that time) forthcoming first lp ! i really like that album and as i said before i don't really like a rush of blood. therefore, i must admit that the songs scientist, warning sign, green eyes and a whisper are real good ones ;)
  10. covers of band they "sound like" such as u2, radiohead or else could be nice covers... but, i rather hear them cover some different style of music. someone here mention a nin inch nails cover : that would be great ! :P in my opinion i wish they could play songs of my favorite rock bands : bowie, neil young, rolling stones, velvet underground !
  11. "amsterdam" seems to be one of your favorite... i must listen to the album and to that song once again... that's funny how the second lp didn't hit me as much as you all... :square: anyway, i noticed that most of us lwould like to hear the band play some b-sides ! great ones ! good idea ! :guitarist:
  12. fifoune44 posted a topic in Past Releases
did you notice that the "symbols" on the front cover is translated by "x and y" ! yes you did obviously ;) :D but, did you manage to translate the last symbols on the last page on the booklet ? eh eh ! it means "make trade fair" !! ;) nobody does notice that thing ! but who cares
  13. agree ! the same songs ! :D very good album indeed ! :P
  14. according to me, the best songs the band have recorded are from the pre-parachute and parachute timeframe. i'm not very found of "a rush of blood" album... and, it's funny to read that most of you, fans, rather hear some stuff from their second lp rather than the very beginning of the carrer... :stunned: i've must say that the last one, x&y, is atomic ! :P i really like all these songs ! :D my favorite setlist ? here it is ! 01 brothers and sisters 02 speed of sound 03 what if 04 warning sign 05 twisted logic 06 trouble 07 til kingdom come 08 for you 09 spies 10 clocks 11 x&y 12 sparks 13 everything's not lost (encore) 14 bigger stronger 15 yellow 16 the scientist 17 fix you
  15. sans blague... :wink3:
