  1. Have the Coldplay ever accepted a song written by someone else and released it as their own original one?

  8. When your friend tells you that you visit the Coldplaying forums so often that you should check into rehab. :joy:
  9. I feel like the beginning has already happened and we're now living in THAT era. :joy:
  10. Couldn't agree more. :D
  11. Thank you. Yes! That's the best thing they could do right now. :)
  12. I agree with @Gideon_Mx . As he mentioned, we shouldn't worry about it. Although it's unfortunate that lately Chris has been performing Coldplay's songs on his own, I'm sure he does it because he's keen on putting on a show. I also doubt that he would play those songs live without a permission or knowledge of Guy, Jonny or Will (or Phil). Perhaps he asks them whether they are fine with that. Maybe Chris truly knows how to cope with the spotlight, that's why he dares perform outside the band so often anywhere at any time. I don't think when the members are not together now it means they are drifting away from each other and turning into strangers or something. It's like they are free from job and each member is doing his own thing. Is this so wrong of them? They don't have to carry out everything as a band just because they are in one band. It's called solo or individual activities, right? They might have realized that they spent all their youth making and releasing music. Thus, they're taking a break to focus on their own families and stuff they wanted to do but couldn't when they were so busy with the music. I believe that we should be happy about the fact that the "boys" are enjoying their time off instead of being stressed out in a studio in rush to create another album just to make some fortune or please the record label at the moment...
  13. Great! Let me know what you think of that. I agree with you. It might make you learn to appreciate and admire what it takes to put notes together and build a melody upon them. However, every now and them I realize that a large portion of an instrumental is mostly a particular melody being played over again. I seldom recognize that as I focus mainly on vocals if a singer is singing. :D Life in Technicolor II? That's a beautiful song with an uplifting melody. It sounds like when you wake up in the morning and begin to believe that the upcoming day will be bright! To my mind, A Whisper is a song that works better without vocals. I enjoy listening to its instrumental version more than the actual version with vocals. I see it more as a song that could be used like background music during credits at the end of a film. :)
  14. LOL, this is such a brilliant caption.
  15. I have a challenge for you. Play the AROBTTH album in one piece but for each song its instrumental version. I've already done this and it was a completely different experience for me. :D
  16. I agree with you. That's what crossed my mind. Still it would be a pleasant surprise to find out that the whole band has just performed at a party altogether. :)
  17. With the use of my imagination, it might have gone this way: "Well, we would like to invite the Coldplay to perform at our pre-wedding bash, I mean, the singer. Let's just have Chris Martin perform, that's enough." Oh, that's a very painful fantasy. :mask: Anyway, why should the frontman be the only one invited when you can have the whole band? It wouldn't really surprise me if Guy, Jonny and Will hadn't felt like coming as I can kind of understand it. On the other hand, it would be a pity, if they hadn't been invited.
  18. Same here! I was listening to the whole AROBTTH album yesterday and felt a dire need for the LP8 or at least a single or something...
  19. Can I ask for H?
  20. I agree with you. As for me, sometimes it's a pleasant change when I opt for a broadsheet instead of online news, though. :D

  22. Ink (Live 2014) vs Charlie Brown (Live in Sao Paulo)
  23. A Sky Full Of Stars (Live 2014) vs Something Just Like This (Tokyo Remix)
  24. It was yesterday. When was the last time you read a broadsheet?
  25. Moses (Live in Sydney 2003) vs A Sky Full Of Stars (Live 2014)
