the X&Y is just about two different things and something to do with two parts to the album, as you may have noticed the tracks are listed X 1-6 and Y 1-6 ... anyway i think the albums great and just Coldplay developing their music into a slightly different sound and not every song has to have the chorus building up through a crescendo - there are many ways of doing this :)
