  1. Personally I think the albums inspired by events & music from 1919 - this would explain the solar eclipse and using the moon and sun in the new logo. It would also explain the "old wooden piano" sound that was heard at Coldplay's new video shoot in Malibu last week,
  2. I've also just noticed this - "founded in 1919"
  3. Another possible idea for the two albums - first one called 'Night' second, more mainstream album called 'Day'. Night and Day represented in the logos. Still think this one's just called 1919 though haha.
  4. Yes - I remember when they were making Mylo Xyloto and reading an artilcle that Coldplay were mastering a "brave" new direction - MX definitely sounded different to previous works but was by far their most pop record at that point. Maybe by experimental they could just mean "experimenting with new sounds" ? :P
  5. After seeing all the different posters now, I really do think the album is just called '1919' and will be a concept album about different events that happened that year (including the solar eclipse). The logo they've updated on their website looks like your looking at the moon and sun out of a church window. Something about the logo also looks Amish to me haha.
  6. One reason I don't think Coldplay will release their next single tomorrow is apparently Adele has a new single coming out tomorrow and her album is getting released in November also lol. I do hope Coldplay put out a new single tomorrow as it's the 42nd week but their label might of moved it back to next Friday to avoid clashing with Adele.
  7. Ah ok! False alarm!!
  8. Hey guys there's a new (?) song they've registered on ASCAP / a song title I've never heard before called 'Figures Of Ridicule'
  9. How much would it blow our minds if Coldplay had been planting secret messages in their songs all this time in preparation for this album and now their showing us the songs the messages are in. Part of a big plan all along for LP8:joy:
  10. I also wonder if there's a clue in the songs they turned black and white?
  11. I wonder if the album will have 8 songs as well?
  12. Yeah I just saw that after I posted lol!
  13. They've done The Scientist from AROFTTH! :)
  14. They don't seem to have turned anything black and white from the X&Y era? I know the video for Talk was already black & white but hasn't been updated with the moon & sun at the bottom of the left hand corner.
  15. Ooooh interesting - also at the bottom left hand side it looks like both a half moon and a 'C' - so the theory about the album having something to do with a moon (because the moon has 8 cycles and this is LP8) might be true!
  16. This is an interesting theory - did you read this somewhere or is it your own theory. Would be cool if it was true - maybe all tracks from the albums will sound like their from different centuries.
  17. I wonder if the album will have something to do with the Argentinian explorer Francisco Moreno - it's longshot but he died on 22nd November 1919 and that would of fit in with the fact that the first poster was put up in Latin America (although we later found out it's a mistake as the poster wasn't to be released until Friday). Also some of the 'leaked album track list' sounds like someone exploring - titles like 'One Way Train' and 'Conscious Pilot'. Again though - that album track list might be fake.
