  1. Hi all, I thought I'd share what I've been practising playing, The Scientist, exactly how Chris Martin plays it thanks to Gabriele Passarelli (member on these forums) on the exact piano he uses for that "sound" (Kawai MP9000). Hope you like it! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ey9Uyx0nlY
  2. Amazing is an understatement!
  3. Hi all, I've learnt how to play The Scientist by following Gabriele Passarelli's video on YouTube here, however I'm having a problem whenever I go to play the second part here. As you can see, the right hand causes a "ringing" sound emitted from the little finger and thumb which is where the really nice sound that so many of us pick up comes from. When I go to play the exact same chord, I'm not getting no where near that sound (please see file attached). Fortunately I have a Kawai MP9000 and adjusting mine to match his on this video, I also do not get the same sound. It seems like the middle two fingers are drowning out the sound. Do you not hit these fingers as hard as the outer (little finger and thumb) fingers? Can someone tell me what I may be doing wrong please? Thank you, Owen The Scientist - Second part help.mp3
  4. Thanks man! I snapped it up quickly from eBay, there was only one person selling one so I bit the bullet and paid the import and shipping fees from the US! Is worth every penny though!
  5. Hi everyone, I've been waiting patiently for the new website to be completed so I can share with you guys an exciting new piano I acquired before lock down here in the UK. Everyone - here is my KAWAI MP9000! I'm absolutely amazed to finally own this so I can sound like Chris Martin. I've been coping with a cheap keyboard and free VST's online to practice with, but after learning how to play The Scientist properly by Gabriele Passarelli, i finally sound like him. I'm still relatively new to piano but I'm excited to join a community with other people who are enthusiastic as me. Looking forward to discussing things with you all! - Owen
