Anyone really inspired by any new artists at the moment? Got any recomendations for someone into similar music? (Who else reckons I'm gonna get flurry of myspace links?!). Been listening to the Arcade Fire album that Chris said he liked on Jools Holland the other week and it's amazing...otherwise I think a band called Guillemots are worth checking out as they are a bit like an experimental Coldplay, and really into Richard Hawley, who I saw supporting the boys once....can sound quite 50s but beautiful songs and just something really captivating about his voice (check richardhawley.co.uk if you don't believe me!). So some on, those are my suggestions...what else should I check out?

This is making me feel very old! I got into the band before the release on Shiver when I had to go interview them for my uni magazine - they were opening act on the NME tour at the time, playing a 20 minute set to support Campag Velocet, Les Rhythmes Digitales and Shack! The next week I found a copy of The Blue Room in my local record shop for 20p...
