4. This is an odd request. My friend works at a trade magazine and is working on an article about freight companies that handle concert transportation. The particular company for tour is X-Freighted. He needs photos showing the trucks for the concert gear at least the crew setting up the rigging, moving around the boxes, etc. Photo credit can be given. Thanks if anyone has any photos like that (btw, he said his co-worker already got Bruce pics from the Bruce board).
5. Newsday being Newsday reported it tonight: http://www.newsday.com/entertainment/music/coldplay-to-play-secret-siriusxm-hamptons-concert-1.12100311 Coldplay to play secret SiriusXM Hamptons concert July 27, 2016 5:16 PM By Glenn Gamboa Coldplay is heading to Long Island for a special concert for SiriusXM subscribers on Aug. 7. But where exactly remains a mystery. “The private performance for SiriusXM will be in the Hamptons,” a spokeswoman for the radio company told Newsday, but declined to name an exact location. Contest winners from around the country will attend the concert, which will air live on SiriusXM’s channel The Spectrum. The band is expected to play songs from throughout its career, including from its new album “A Head Full of Dreams.” “This feels like the perfect time to play this special show for SiriusXM listeners,” Coldplay said in a statement. “Someone just needs to tell us the secret location and we’ll be there.” The Hamptons is a good location for the show since singer Chris Martin spends a lot of his downtime there with his family. “We couldn’t be more excited that Coldplay, one of the most acclaimed bands working today, will step away from its global tour playing stadiums and arenas to present an intimate event for SiriusXM at a special location,” Scott Greenstein, SiriusXM’s president and chief content officer, said in a statement. Coldplay recently headlined two nights at MetLife Stadium on its current tour.
6. We saw the two guys that did the intro video were upgraded, someone approached them with a special project and I assume upgraded their seats. I would dress up with homemade clothes and work around the upper levels.
7. I walked into that VIP room by accident, it was at the 50 Club. http://www.metlifestadium.com/stadium/host-your-event/event-spaces/clubs/metlife-50-club I saw people in that room already when I showed up around 5:30pm. The middle had a hot buffet. They handed out gift bags. I saw the people with those other VIP badges sitting in front floor, those badges looked 3D lenticular. Friends and Family were in the Coaches Club, saw the sign during the backstage tour. http://www.metlifestadium.com/stadium/host-your-event/event-spaces/clubs/coaches-club There was also something else happening in the club in the mezzanine section also. I don't know what our space was called, it was one level up from the 50 Club.
8. Last night was awesome, met up with Heavensbee and Drew in the VIP lounge since we were like the only people that looked like intense fans. The Citi VIP tickets were the best deal, we had great floor tickets. The backstage tour consisted of walking through the back tunnels and then to the floor. The lounge was a classy affair with fresh flower arrangements, mood lighting, and nice furniture. The hor d'oeuvres were a cheese selection, finger foods, small Ruben sandwiches, a sliders station, cupcakes, and ice cream. Another surprise: Open Bar. They had two photo stations for us to goof with. Most importantly, they played Coldplay music. We were outside for Foxes' set, her voice is fabulous and better than expected. We did notice the seats had different colors where they merged two floor sections together. Drew chatted with the two guys that did the intro video. Thank goodness it wasn't hot inside the stadium, it was very comfortable. Also lucky that it didn't get rained on unlike in Secaucus. My ticket was in Floor Section 4, Row 13, left side of stage. Most people stood up during the concert, I moved around to a different row to get a better view. I think a lot of people moved around. Everyone was cool, staff included. I legit started crying a little during the first few songs, at least it wasn't ugly crying. The sound was great for me, not fuzzy or anything. I loved seeing other peoples' reaction to the confetti and fireworks and the xylobands since it was a surprise for them. Chris did his best Bruce Springsteen with Jersey Girl and an actual US flag in his back pocket. It was great to have a moment of just pure joy, fun and happiness. The concert was amazing and I hope they do more shows in the US in the fall/winter. For the first stop of the US leg, I think everything was done very well. I woke up to massive soreness this morning from all the running around like I was on The Amazing Race and standing waiting for trains. That's why I can only handle one night of Coldplay now. Here's a link to some of my photos & videos, they are not the best I only used a cheap Nikon and my cell phone. My actual view was a whole lot better. https://goo.gl/photos/rUt4tWgBWY8HA2bp6 Mobile Link: https://www.instagram.com/p/BH-F2Plg6_2/ Mobile Link: https://www.instagram.com/p/BH-FVRmAHn3/ Mobile Link: https://www.instagram.com/p/BH-G7AhAdWj/ Confetti and swag, Drew, Heavensbee and I. 9. Who is in the citi Vip lounge right now? We can finally meet.
10. The Citi vip was really hard to find, it's a black table by met life central.
11. On train platform in Secaucus, it is pouring outside. Of course I didn't bring any rain gear. I'm going to look like a wet t shirt contest when I go out.
12. I'm leaving Long Island soon, see you guys at Penn for the first train. I'm in a Mylo shirt (not homemade).
13. Seriously, how do they expect us to fall asleep on Friday now. I still have to suffer through another day of work.
14. Yeah seriously, I was gobsmacked in a good way reading that e-mail. No way of knowing if they are offering this for all the venues that have the Citi TY tickets, someone should do a PSA with this info. I assume you will be there at 445pm. lol.
15. I finally heard from Citi Thank You Events with the details, it's "shut the front door" better than expected. Backstage tour, check in from 4:45pm to 5:20pm. Lounge open from 5:30pm to 8:30pm. No word on where the tickets are though, that's still a surprise. I will have to take the first train leaving from NY Penn to make it there on time. I'll do my best to get good pictures and/or videos of the tour if they let us. Sorry to read about floor seat situation, I'm going to keep my expectations low for my seats.
16. I just checked the train times from NY Penn Station to Meadowlands on NJ transit (link), looks like the first train leaves at 4:14pm with travel times varying from 29 mins to 66 minutes. If a bunch of people are leaving from Penn, maybe we can set a time and meet up for some food/drinks at somewhere nearby like that food court Pennsy at MSG or one of the Irish bars down the block (Stout). I don't know what time I have to get there yet since I haven't received information from the Citi Thank You people yet. ***Edit: I called them and they said there should be an e-mail coming with the information by Friday. CS said tickets will probably be pickup at Will Call.
17. The Citi Thank You card exclusive VIP tickets are on sale for this concert: https://www.citiprivatepass.com/thankyouevents/landings/ty_coldplay_vip_experience.html

19. I volunteered for Oxfam at one of their previous stops in NJ, it's hard to get people to sign up but it's an fun & interesting experience. I think I'll be too Coldplay-ed out to go to a 2nd night.
20. I'm glad we called in time for the tickets, feel so lucky I just happened to check on the Private Pass website to see if they had anything and they did.
21. I'm on Long Island, I'll probably take the train into NYC and then to NJ for the show. I'm sure a bunch of us will meet up for the show. I can meet up with you in NYC and we can head in together.
22. Not sure if anyone posted this up yet, sign up list for Global Citizen volunteering at Coldplay shows and I assume free tickets. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1OHXZ-PQKvTk8bkN7lyaVfQuzV68ndWBts2Y8enpTFb0/viewform This is what the e-mail said: Hello Friend! 23. I called and got one for myself also. The phone call was a little nerve racking since it seemed to take a long time and I got disconnected too. I'm still a little nervous that they took down my information wrong or gave me tickets to Philly instead. lol. I can't wait to see my confirmation e-mail. I haven't bought something on the phone with a human being in the longest time. The CS rep didn't have anymore information other than what's on the webpage. She didn't even ask me about having a Citi Thank You card, even though I actually do have one. Citibank has gotten me within 20 ft of Ralph Fiennes and wasted in the NY Times building on the same night, onto the field of Citi Field for batting practice and now this. I have waited since the presale to get tickets and it's finally paid off.
24. Well, this just showed up. I think I'm going to get it. It's reasonably priced. https://www.citiprivatepass.com/thankyouevents/landings/ty_coldplay_vip_experience.html
25. Sorry for the late notice, I was late myself. I never know when they update this website. Citi Private Pass VIP Access for Today Show Waitlist. You need to be a Citibank card holder. https://www.citiprivatepass.com/landing/coldplay_today.html
