  1. The show goes for about an hour and a half, which is fairly comparable to any of the other concerts I've been to (non-Coldplay). Hartford was my first Coldplay show and loved it. However, the full show was great, very high energy, and there was never a period of boredom. Some fans may complain about certain B-Sides and older songs (personally, I would have liked Amsterdam and Moses), but they covered all of their major hits from the previous albums, with "Trouble" being I guess the song that most ppl wanted to hear. I may have also liked to hear perhaps a U2 cover. But my gripes are being nitpicky, they are minor. However, the show was sweet for the entire time and never dragged. Although let's say a DMB concert is much longer, those drag for a while when each song is like 10-15 minutes long.
  2. I saw that Black Mountain was supposed to open for Coldplay... But I just went to the show in Hartford. Coldplay was amazing, but whoever opened (wasn't sure if it was Black Mountain, I could barely hear the artist anyways) was completely awful. It was just a guy singing and playing an acoustic guitar and he was worse than a bar or lounge singer. Was wondering if anyone knew more about that who went to Hartford, and who opened for the Canadian shows (and who's opening for future shows).
  3. the bear was there in Hartford CT tonight. I don't get it either.
  4. There is a significant amount of pot smoking at the concert, you can smell it when you walk around. The 5-6 people in front of me on the lawn all smoked up right at the start of the concert. It can be annoying... I don't really drink or smoke or do that stuff, but if you don't pay that much attention to it you can still enjoy the show. (but most of the potheads around us were pretty mellow, not obnoxious)
