I definitely believe the government has a right to penalize their own citizens with death if they break a law within reason. It's my personal opinion that we should only penalize someone who is not going to change in the future or is going to do bad things continually.

small note; What was Christianity from begining but people believeing in their own little God? (FYI, I don't believe in any God at all, only in selflessness and that's it's wrong to cause harm) ha! my own little god??? I think not, if I would have invented God things would be much different. The bible never says "harm people" yet you treat it like it does. Some people do things 'in the name of God' who God is not with. You can't blame their actions on God.

I believe it's okay to have slaves. But you're not supposed to beat them or be unfair. I don't believe in it, but I don't believe it's wrong either.

If you're basing your beliefs on what you want then that's one thing. If you want to be homosexual so you believe God would want that for you, that's one thing. But if you base your belief on something that makes logical sense to you such as maybe, oh I don't know... the history of the bible or of some people in it who existed, the history of a nation, that's another thing. I can also respect believing in evolution, but believing in your own god is a little selfish in my opinion.

just because you don't like it doesn't mean it's not true, and you attacking my beliefs (god, the bible) is what I don't respect. I'm not saying I don't respect you not believing in the bible, that's one thing. I can understand that, but calling it bull is another thing.

you complain about how people hate gays, and even against people who are simply against it not hating them. you attack my beliefs and the beliefs of all christians and you expect someone like me to respect your opinion because you're wise. Yet somehow attacking someone's belief is okay, but hating sin isn't. I don't hate sin because of my personal belief. I hate sin because I hate hell and I hate the thought of people willing to be happy for a second so they can die for eternity.
