I don't think Coldplay sounds like Radiohead in the least bit. They're not trippy enough and their writing style actually make sense, ("So knives out/Catch the mouse/Don't look down/Shove it in your mouth?" WTF is that???) I like Radiohead, too but Coldplay is better, (as long as you're not tripping on acid.) I think a lot of people compare the two bands because of the fact they are British. In that case, Radiohead's like the Beatles? Eh, perhaps just empty thoughts, but it bugs me.

HELLO! Yes. Absolutely. Especially on this album. When they break into the bridge of Speed of Sound (where it chills out at 3:34) I can SO totally hear U2. That's not to say that they are trying to be like them, but it's saying they're definately an influence.

*shrugs* I suppose they really wanted to chill out to chill music perhaps? I smoke, but I can't imagine doing that at a Coldplay concert. I would be afraid I would miss something important or great!!!

I would have to say my favorite songs right now are Square One and Politik. I really like their love songs, but the up-tempo stuff just rocks.

Eh, I said Better/Better. Took me a couple of listens to X&Y for it grow on me, but overall I like it. Live, they just keep getting better! :D

Right After Yellow... I met all the boys in Montréal right after Parachutes was released. My friend and Erin and I met them right after the show in the back near the bus. They all signed a poster for Erin and a lithograph for myself. They're great guys! :) BTW: I'm new, so HELLO EVERYONE!!
