  1. 1st Thing: What's this "How You See The World" song on the japanese acoustic session. It's a bonus track or something, but I had never heard it til a few days ago. Was it ever recorded on something else? In any case, I like it. 2nd Thing: People should read some of these reviews by other people on Amazon.Com of X&Y. When I buy stuff off of there I usually put a review in too. I'm tempted to write one for X&Y since I do have it. As you read through em it's definitely noticeable how you either love or hate this new Coldplay album. I knew for myself, it grew on me over time. The more you listen to it, the better it sounds. I think some people judged this album after only listening to like 2 songs. In any case, here's the link: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/customer-reviews/B0006L16N8/ref=cm_cr_dp_2_1/102-2300482-8547352?%5Fencoding=UTF8&s=music
  2. on people saying that his lyrics on love are basic and uninteresting: who says you can't describe how you love someone in a non-complicated way. the best love is the love that isn't complicated. but very basic and simple and pure. as for the overall meaning of the song I don't think has to do with either God nor Love. I think it has to do with peace. If anything it's learning to love yourself and be happy. The world changes you as you age [You're part of the human race All of the stars in the outer space Part of a system plan]. Some people get bitter, some people hate themselves. Everything is different when you're a child [When I was a young boy I tried to listen And I wanna feel like that ]. You need to go through some hurdles before you find happiness within yourself and peace of mind. And when you finally get it, you never want to let go of it [Everything you ever wanted In a permanent state ]. :dozey:

  4. As I c&p this, a show on tv behind me is blaring the beginning to "Yellow"...I think it's something on VH-1. Ok, enough of that...on with the article: Coldplay's "Logic" is about pleasing fans Published in the Asbury Park Press 09/7/05 BY AVA GACSER GANNETT NEW JERSEY The band's current world tour may be called "Twisted Logic," but everything made perfect sense during Coldplay's show Saturday night at the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel. While it may be argued that the English quartet is just as well known for frontman Chris Martin's high-profile image as husband to actress Gwyneth Paltrow, Coldplay proved it could put on an entertaining set filled with satisfying visual images. Backlit by colored video screens, the band started the show with, appropriately enough, "Square One," the first track on its latest album, "X&Y." Dressed entirely in black, Martin was flanked by bassist Guy Berryman, guitarist Jonny Buckland and drummer Will Champion. It was Martin, though, who commanded the audience's attention throughout the 90-minute-plus gig. Between furiously bouncing on a stool as he played piano, hopping on one foot and crawling around onstage, Coldplay's lead singer oozed enthusiasm and energy. While his reed-thin voice occasionally strained during some of the higher notes, it seemed to grow stronger as the night progressed. Highlights of the show included several cuts from the band's sophomore release, "A Rush of Blood to the Head," including "Politik" and "Clocks," as well as new cuts "Talk," "Speed of Sound" and "Fix You." The stark black stage was stripped down even further when Coldplay performed a Johnny Cash tribute, which included a rendition of "Ring of Fire." The band also performed "Til Kingdom Comes," a bonus track on "X&Y" that reportedly was written by the band for Cash, who died before he could record it. The band employed nonstop visual images throughout the show, including several video screens alternating between close-up shots of each member and pans of the crowd. At one point, the band borrowed fans' digital cameras and took pictures of the audience. During "Yellow," giant balloons (yep, they were yellow) floated through the amphitheater. As Martin began popping them, yellow confetti flew through the air. And, in a most welcome surprise for attendees further away from the stage, Martin raced into the crowd (with security guards chasing after him) and finished singing "In My Place" in the midst of obviously thrilled fans. As the band wrapped up its encore, it became abundantly clear that Martin and company know exactly what concert audiences want — and they more than delivered it. Rilo Kiley, a sextet from Los Angeles, opened the show. Lead by singer Jenny Lewis (who was wearing a '60s-style mini-dress), the band ripped through its set with both enthusiasm and modesty. The band's sound — a mixture of country, rock and folk — was infused by keyboards, a trumpet and harmonica. 5. I would DEFINITELY make your one and only bathroom break in between RK and Coldplay. there's a long enough gap in time (at least 45 mins) where even if there was aline, you could hang out in it a while before Coldplay comes on. Have a great time guys....even though I KNOW you all will! :D
  6. when I went to pnc on saturday in holmdel, nj : 6pm - gates opened 730pm - rilo kiley ?815-845 - stage set 9 - coldplay and they played 'til 11pm - 2 fricken hours of an amazing light show and incredible music - NOW THAT'S ENTERTAINMENT!! :D
  7. I thought Rilo Kiley for the 1st 2 songs were mildly tortorous to sit through. By song 6 it was moderately tortorous. I was like c'monnnnnnnnn Coldplay. :wink3:
  8. weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee a rush of blood to the head...dear Godddd please make these next 48 hrs go by faster!!!!!
  9. Yanno I had downloaded the show. Killer killer setlist, however the crowd was on the quiet side. I'm listening to it like WTF is wrong with these people. I'm going to see them Sept. 3rd [next Sat] and lemme tell you I'm going to be an absolute maniac. I've heard other live shows and the crows is going nuts. The crowd for this show needed life support. However, on the brighter side maybe there's a reason. Maybe the girls figured if they jumped around too much either [a] their bleached extensions would fall out, or one of their boobs might either pop or bounce up too high and knock em out. As for the guys, if they danced around too much they might get hot, therefore resulting in their eyeliner *puke* running. I can't fricken wait to go next week. I'll make up for that lame crowd haha
