With Moon Music right around the corner I thought I should make track discussions for each track as no one had done that yet. Anyway this is the opening track to Moon Music. Also does anyone know how to change titles on threads. I want to change the WE PRAY thread title to match the format of this one. Anyway here is the tracklist of songs from Moon Music. I haven't even received the notification that mine has started the process of shipping. I just hope it arrives by my birthday (Oct. 5)

Still an interesting thing to have! And these would still have some old attributes of the songs (such as older lyrics if lyrics changed) as these were recorded very early into the process of making the songs.

I mean, the notebook edition will have very early versions of all 10 songs so we may hear them in that way.

I agree with this. I remember when I made the we-pray thread I looked for a Moon Music subforum but then released it was all under MOTS. We definitely should have one.

I love interpreting songs so I like the ambiguity and vagueness in the lyrics. I don't know why people are freaking out about this now like as you said, its been like this since the beginning. I think there is a bit of unintended bias and bad-faith assumptions about coldplay's new music.

Everyone taking aim means that everyone is preparing to and working towards accomplishing their goals and achieving their dreams which follows up with Chris exclaiming let it rain which means like let the rain pour down on me as hard as it can, give me your toughest challenges it doesn't matter as I will conquer the challenges and I will accomplish my goals and achieve my dreams because just like a mountain I am unmovable. It has a very similar message to champion of the world in my opinion. Honestly after thinking about the lyrics for a bit, I take back the thing I said about them being between mediocre and fine. These lyrics are great!

I disagree with your point on the lyrics. I think they are somewhere between fine and mediocre for a modern Coldplay song but definitely not the worst. Albeit, the instrumental makes me more forgiving towards the lyrics so I may be a bit biased.

The stuff I have recently seen from and about the notebook edition is making me really excited for my cd to come. I love seeing behind-the-scenes stuff.

Ok, I was just thinking about whether I should wait for my cd to arrive to listen to the album. I guess I'll see if I get any shipping announcements on my email before release day. If I do I will wait, if I do not I will listen to it on streaming the moment it comes out.

A quick question about pre-orders. I got a pre-order on MOON MUSiC from Coldplay’s website about two weeks ago. I used the cheaper shipping and I am wondering if my package will arrive on release day, the day after, or even later. I bought it of the US Store and live in the mid-west.

Sorry for double-post but I wanted to comment on the fighting in this community. I sympathize both sides as I have problems with some parts of the band's current direction & I believe people have the full right to state their opinion without getting bashed for it, but I am also sick of negativity whenever a new song/leak/snippet comes out and I do sometimes wish people would stop being so critical of the band and their music. My recommendation to the people who are critical is to make the criticism more constructive and to pay attention to your tone as you all have many good points but the tone in your writing comes off as very aggressive and spreads negativity and anger. Also, try to make your criticisms less repetitive as some people get sick of hearing the same "its pop now so it is bad" sentiment and instead point to the specific problems on a song-by-song or an album-by-album basis. My recommendation to the people who are sick of the negativity and shut down other's opinions is to also try to be constructive in your criticisms towards their arguments even if you believe their argument is stupid. Throwing insults at each other gets us nowhere so we should refrain from them whether it be to someone on this forum, off this forum, or in the band. To both sides, if there is nothing constructive or kind to say, do not say it at all.

I'm on apple music and wondering the exact same thing.

Ain't no way I paid $7 more on the signed edition ($17 more if you include the cost of the shipping) and my item arrives 1-2 weeks after it gets released for coldplay to just decide two weeks later to release it for 7.99 with free release day shipping on amazon. Chris Martin owes me a big apology.
