The next process is SAVING SOMEBODY'S LIFE !!! The risk of infection is very very very very small.... maybe 0.1% ?? So, that's why should I stop donating blood ?? But I take no responsibility if something happens! It's not my fault... A few weeks ago I decided to donate bone marrow. I'm registered in the Polish database and when someone needs such a 'type' of bone marrow, I'll sure give it.

ClearAsCrystal: yyy... but I'm talking about GIVING blood, not about transfusion. there is a risk in blood transfusion, I know that. But the topic is about donating - and this is 100% safe and no risk!!!!! My uncle in his whole life has given over 60 litres of blood... can you imagine that? :o

I know that other people need my blood, so I give it them... And I'm 100% sure, that I won't become an infection or something... Before donation I must pass a few tests, my blood is given to analysis etc. I think there is absolutely no risk... and I have never heard that someone got an infection because of giving blood :o :o :o

There is _always_ lack of blood. They need blood, especially rare groups like AB negative, 0 negative.. Summer is the worst time for hospitals, because there are many accidents and they need much blood... but not many people donate it during summer.

Ungodly ? why ? Risk ?? What risk ?? There is no risk and no such possibility to recieve a disease or something. Completely no risk. I've donated a few times and I feel well. The needle is big, but it doesn't hurt :) No, it's not true. There is no such feeling after donation!!!

No, I donate because I can save somebody's life... And there are very nice and kind people in my Local Blood Service. I go there with my friends and we spend really nice time there :) and we can save a life.. it's just great They must give chocolates, because after loosing blood you must eat some sugar. ;)

I've heard that in some coutries you can earn money for giving blood. How is it in Spain? In Poland we become chocolates :D

Yes, a few times. But the best was at the 31 december 2003 or 2004, don't remember. :P My parents went somewhere (don't remember where :P) so I organized a party. At the begining, my brother puked after two glasses of vodka so I had to drink all with my friends. We were totally drunk, but in the middle of the night (5 am I think :P) we noticed that we have no more alcohol. So we went somewhere to my other friend, because he also had a party :D so we drunk some vodka with them and gone home in the morning. It was a very good party... but I don't remember anything more... :P

but there is a big difference.. I see it. I'm very nice and kind to all people (and it's normal for me), but I'm not flirting with them. :P
