  1. oh, yeah, Bartcelona!! He mentioned an Irish pub called: Michael Collins, near to La Sagrada Familia. He told me they play there great British music in live (like Coldplay!) but we aren't sure of the place where we'll meet yet. Anyway, I know it will be soon and...I suppose I'll explain it here on coldplaying ;)
  2. That's what I wanted to say. Sometimes everything is in your imagination and the reality is different to the things that you expected, for the main reason that you expected too much, and then it let you down. Anyway, the best thing you could do is visit these places, so you'll know certainly if they're so great. haha, Nik, we aren't so natinalists and temperamental? haha, where have you heard this? There're some Catalans who are nationalists but most of them are "nationalists in a normal level" but our nationalism can be explained for the story of our country that is behind. (Don't know how to explain it better). Thank you, I hope you're right! I think it's a good thing to purpose to oneself high aims... 'cos if you reach them, you feel so rewarded! hahaha, that sentence! :laugh4: Y'know what? I was in a Coldplay gig where Chris sang: Barcelona 3, Madrid 0... (in the beginning of God put a smile upon your face)!
  3. So, do you know who this member is? Not yet but we'll meet soon. We've been talking about this question. He'll be the first coldplaying member who I'll meet... I think it'll be weird, though.
  4. No, no! He is from your OWN country but he is currently living in Barcelona.
  5. yeah, I guess it'll be the best one but the problem is they evaluate you as a candidate student to study abroad for telling you if they give you the scholarship or not. It's not that easy to reach, so I'll have to work hard knowing beforehand this doesn't ensure me anything. :uhoh: I see what you mean but, don't you think you've idealized that place? have you ever been there? I ask you that 'cos I idealized London, and before going there I thought it was so damn cool and so on, but once I was there, I realized of all of its "defects". Oh, would you come here just to see a good football match?! WOW!
  6. Ah, I understand... then it's different! ;)
  7. You know him... :P I'm gonna give you a clue: he isn't from Spain.
  8. Yeah, more or less. I can go there during one semester (5 months) or 2 semesters (9 months) and the subjects that I pass there will be validated in my "original" university, as if I've done them there. Why don't you like the swiss style? (being honest I don't know it at all, their style). And why Iceland? what does it have? hahaha, I remember you're a barçaholic!!! :P
  9. I guess it's pretty normal but you've been there a lot of time... I think you could begin to feel at home now, don't you think? Yes, I could do this, but in fact I have another idea. I'd ask for an "erasmus" scholarship (have you ever heard of it?), so I'd live in another country while I am studying for 5 months. I think it could be a valuous experience for me.
  10. hahaha, no!!! :laugh4: It wouldn't be a "real" change 'cos actually I live in Spain but the flag I show here is from the specific region where I live!
  11. I didn't expect it was that bad. :uhoh:
  12. It's better not to be under so much pressure 'cos comes a moment that persons explode. :uhoh: That's for sure...to live in a new country, to think about your future career. You've to learn loads of things about this, specially the first one. I'd like to have this experience, to move in another country for some months and live there.
  13. ahh, okay, it was only a guess! Concerning to the career: well, maybe you could have a succesful career, but if you didn't like it enough then it's not worth to be studying so many years for doing something that perhaps you'll be well-paid but that would be all. Exactly, I think it's the main problem and moreover, you get "crap jobs" and your salary isn't too good but as you said, it's up to them... and as I told you, you'll spend the most wonderful years of your live at uni! :)
  14. hahaha, I didn't say that in this sense. In my opinion, it's better to begin to work later... when you're 14, you're too young and you don't used to get good jobs, but if you study, I presume you're "rewarded" afterwards having better jobs.
  15. a law orientated?? seems that your parents wanted you to be a lawyer (I deduce this for the way you've said it)! I don't think it's a good solution to start to work at 16-17, really. You'll like the uni's atmosphere, it's pretty different than the one you have in the school 'cos people are more adult and they're studying what they want to (and not 'cos they're forced to!). Hope you have good luck but, however, you've a clear purpose so surely, you'll achieve it. ;)
  16. that's for sure Mark but sometimes the "beginnings" are hard... Ah, I didn't know you looked forward to study economy, but at least, you already know what you wanna study (there're several ppl who one year before going to college don't know what they wanna study, 'cos they don't find anything that motive them enough and that's sad). I've heard, as well, they're cold and not too open, but I guess it's a topic - and every country has its own - :laugh4: What will happen on April/May?
  17. oh, you remember? That's great! :nice: Yeah, I would like to be a scientist (like the one in the Coldplay song...nah, just kidding) but, you know, I see it so damn far, I mean to work as a chemist. I'm glad you get used to the new country and language although I have never learnt German I'm conscious it's a tough language to learn... and I'm glad to hear that you can speak it and that ppl have helped you. I'm sure that soon you'll master it!!! ;) Why don't you tell me your uni dreams? What would you like to study?
  18. oh, I see Nik. Anyway, I don't have anything against him, I was only wondering! ;) Everything is going fine... this is my fourth year at uni (I'm studying chemistry, I don't think you remember it) and theoretically it's my last one - although it won't be 'cos I failed some subjects, I'm not that clever... but besides this, other things are going ok. How about you? I haven't talked to you for ages. Do you like the Switzerland way of living?
  19. yeah, Nik, I can't deny he is different and has a lot of mystery but I can't imagine Mark looking like the man that you posted in that picture, I don't have too much imagination (or I prefer not to do that 'cos it's scaring to imagine someone like that writing in front of the screen). However, if he'd post a picture of him, ppl would not wonder so many things...... or maybe it's better for him to keep his spell, who knows?
  20. ^this is hard to believe hahaha, what a picture... very sarcastic, btw! :laugh4: Anyway, I wonder how he looks like, as well. It's definitely a mystery.
  21. yeah, it make things easier partly, but I don't think it could be a good solution. Sometimes is better not to know... And moreover, everyone has his/her intimacy.
