  2. Sí, esta sí que la he escuchado!! Pero tampoco me apasiona... :/ hay alguna que recomiendes en esp. ?
  4. Spring and by summer fall - blonde redhead [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iJAurc7aXbk]Blonde Redhead - Spring and by Summer Fall (2007) MFEAE - YouTube[/ame] I got to know them because they were the supporting band for Interpol.
  5. Hola!! :)
  6. Thanks! It's just that the trailer (and plot) didn't seem to be so appealing but still there were so many good reviews about it. I may go and watch it anyways :)
  7. The perfect host - 6,5/10 Quite interesting black comedy about how our perfect host is not who he appears to be. Some scenes of the film are absolutely crazy as well as funny! Rise of the planet of the Apes - 7/10 that one was good too. After watching the trailer my expectations were a bit low but I still went to the cinema to see it 'cos everybody kept telling me it was so good. They weren't wrong!! I wonder if Midnight in Paris is as brilliant as people say? I'm not so much into art / historical characters and all this so maybe I wouldn't be able to get the whole thing.
  8. it's been sunny, as usual, so warm and humid
  9. Things are going well... Been working and quite busy lately and still am. But I haven't seen Daryl in months - I think he's doing fine though. And how are you?
  10. M A R K !
  11. that's great! :D thanks for your help Little! the hug part doesn't have like a 2nd meaning, does it? Like it's just something said between friends..
  12. Heey! I just wanted to congrat a friend of mine who's German - is this nachricht correct? Eine Umarmung thank you!
  13. No. I rekon it's rather difficult to make new friends and especially to 'keep' them. No wonder that the older you get, the more difficult it gets. At times I feel that everybody out there has those very special friends they have known each other for ages, and they aren't open to new people. As for me, I made the wrong friends too and I really regret I didn't make anything about it earlier... But anyway, you can always start from square one. Just think of all the people that don't live in the same city where they were born and grown. If you just move to another city/village, you're already in this situation - kinda -. So you already have to start from 0.
  15. I've had a wish for years but it has never come true. But in 2010 this has to change.
  16. Well, same here., esp. when I don't have much to do. Thanks! Aren't you back in Switzerland these holidays?
  18. I'm definitely the first case. I love being around people - the best is a good balance between bf and friends. But if I don't get to see them often, I happen to feel frustrated. If I have too much leisure time / on my own I just end up thinking of all my probs and feeling sad.
  19. Is there anyone Swedish over here? Does this sentence "jag bör ha frågat dig det i svensk" make sense??
  20. *knockknock*
  21. I agree Sal, but I'll be very careful with my choices since it would be completely pointless to spend all this money (and time) taking a course that I don't even like. That may spoil the whole experience. Of course there is always the risk of thinking I may like the course but I don't eventually... but it's a risk I've got to assume! Hey Kara! :) Yeah, everybody's been telling me that Brighton is such a good place to be and I really liked that University (at least the information of it I've been finding out these days). As always my problems are my marks - which are not that great - and economical too, but I'll find a way to overcome the latter drawback anyway. I checked Leeds but unfortunately I'm not a holder of what they call a good honours degree and that's one of the main reasons why I'm finding it more difficult to find a university in which I fulfill all of the requirements.
  22. Oh really? Didn't know that. Will check that one then! :)
  23. @Sal, do you mean you're asked for a 1st or upper 2nd class honours?? @Tonsu, Actually I'm rather looking for a socially active place, with a lively nightlife scene. Of course the perfect place would be one that had it all and that wasn't too expensive since I'll have to afford all the expenses myself. I've liked pretty much the York University and they offer a wide range of courses, so I'll probably apply for that one. Yeah, Sussex is in Brighton! The only problem with that Uni is that its tuition fees are a bit higher compared to the other Universities I've been checking but still, it's an option to consider. Will let you know how it goes, it's a quite risky project! @Mari, for some reason I knew that you'd understand me, especially now that you're in Oxford! I'm thinking of taking a master's degree, which takes one year. It may take some more time because I may take a part-time one, so I could work part-time as well because my parents are not going to support me whatsoever in this 'project' of mine. @Fixed, Sure I don't mind! The main reason why I'd like to keep on going to University is basically for the experience (and at the same time I'd enhance my CV, which is really good). I'm done with my degree so theoretically if I wanted to I could work for good and forget about the studies but I don't feel it's the right moment to do so and I'm afraid that if I started working for a kinda long period, let's say 1year, I don't think I could go back and start studying again. Thanks for the info! :nice: The rankings, I mean.
  24. First off, this is a rather personal thread, but still I wanted to hear your opinions. I spent the last 4 months of my degree abroad, in Aberdeen and it has been by far the best thing I've ever done in my life. Back in Barcelona, I had always lived at my parents' place and my experience at my University had been poor. It was just me attending some lectures, coming back home and studying, and that was all about the fantastic University experience that we students are supposed to have. The treatment with both teachers and even my classmates was unimpersonal and cold, it felt like no-one cared about you. But then, in Abdn, they all were approachable and even if living in the halls of residence, I felt as if I had been there since ages and I had the time of my life. After having gone through this, I'd like to repeat it again even when knowing that 2nd times are not always the same. Been thinking of going back to Aberdeen, but it could be a mistake. I'd like to apply for several UK Universities but to be honest I don't know much about them. Have you got any suggestion? The ones I thought of are Sussex, York, Heriot-Watt, Kent and East Anglia so far.
